Prologue - Welcome in the School Hope!

"...."

"....Ugh...."

"Where am I?"

"Miyuki? Akane? Nao? Reika? Candy??"

<Yayoi Kise's POV>

I was woke up in the dark room, my eyes struggling to adjust to the dim light. The floor beneath me was cold and uncomfortable, and the air was stale. I sat up, my head spinning slightly as I took in my surroundings. It was something...different, something more mundane and eerily familiar.

"What is this place?" I whispered to myself, my voice echoing faintly in the quiet room. As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, I could make out the shapes of various objects that seemed to be scattered around me.

I was in..... a classroom?

"Huh? Am I in the Nanairogaoka High School?" I questioned aloud, rubbing my eyes. The room looked like it belonged in a school, but something was off. It was too clean, too orderly. Then, I bumped an person. "Oh, I'm sorry!" I exclaimed, realizing I wasn't alone.

The figure groaned and shifted, revealing was an girl with the generous figure of a particularly lucky mid-teenager. She had amber-gold eyes and blonde curls, she looks.....cutie, but her face was kind, warm and gentle and serene. "That's okay, Kise-san." The girl said to me.

"You know my name?" I asked, bewildered.

"Yup!" The girl replied with a cheerful smile, which made me feel a bit more at ease despite the strange situation.

"Are… are you another Precure?" I asked tentatively, hope flickering in my eyes. The girl actually laughed, a soft, musical sound. "No, I'm not. My name is Mami Tomoe, and I'm a Puella Magi. The ultimate tea maker." She sat up, stretching out her arms.

"Tea maker? In a battle royale?" I couldn't help but chuckle nervously. This had to be a dream. But as my eyes took in the room more clearly, I saw that it wasn't just us.

"Okay, Kise-San.... you have a ultimate talent." Mami said. Yup, I am the Ultimate Mangaka.

"Okay, okay, okay. So.... why did you here in the school place?" I asked, trying to make sense of it all.

Mami's smile faded a bit. "Some people are in the gym." She said, getting to her feet and offering a hand to help me up. "Let's go check it out."

I took her hand, and we left the room together. As we walked down the hallway, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong. The school was too quiet, too still. It was like a scene from a horror movie, right before the monster jumps out. But instead of a monster, we found ourselves in a bustling gym filled with students from various animes and games.

"Oh, new visitors." An black haired girl with brown eyes says in surprise.

"Hello there, here are the missing people in the darkness place." Mami said with a smile.

The black haired girl looked us up and down. "Yeah, I guess you are." She said, her tone a mix of curiosity and skepticism. An green light haired boy walked to us and says. "Hello, I am N: Natural Harmonia Gropius. I am the Ultimate Pokémon Whisperer."

I looked around the room, my heart racing. There were so many people here, all from different worlds. Some looked friendly, others...not so much.

"Pokémon? Like animals?" I squealed, my excitement bubbling over. The green-haired boy nodded, a slight smile playing on his lips.

"Yes, Pokémon can be some creatures or animals, but they are not animals. They are partners for human in battle." N said calmly.

"Okay, I am Rem, the ultimate maid. Pleasure to meet you." An medium length sky blue hair girl that covers her right eye, large light blue eyes says in a very polite way.

"Maid? You are a maid for work?" I asked Rem, my curiosity piqued.

"Yes," Rem replied, her posture straightening as she curtsied slightly. "I am here to serve and protect."

"And who's the boss?" Mami asked with a playful smile.

Rem's cheeks flushed a faint pink. "That would be Subaru-sama," she murmured.

"I am Mima, the Ultimate Actress." An black haired girl with brown eyes is a actress?? I even don't get it.

An white hair robot girl with long pigtails says in cocky and stubborn voice. "Hahaha, I am J. I was being a drone, but not anymore. The Ultimate Murder Drone who kills any enemy with style."

I looked at her, a bit surprised. "Murder Drone?" I repeated, trying not to let my voice shake. This was definitely not the kind of thing you'd expect to hear in a school setting.

"Yeah, that's right," she said, crossing her arms over her chest with a smirk. "But don't worry, I'm on your side. For now, anyway."

Mami and I shared a look. This was definitely not going to be a normal school experience.

"Hi, I'm Tsubaki Kureha. I was from Arashigaoka Academy. I am the Ultimate Crackshot." An white blonde haired girl said in a cool and confident tone, her piercing blue eyes scanning the room.

"Crackshot? That means you are good at shooting?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.

"The best, darling." She winked at me, flicking her hair back over her shoulder. "I can hit a target from miles away without breaking a sweat."

"Impressive," I mumbled, feeling a little overwhelmed by all the new faces and titles.

"Hello, I am Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Just a normal girl with a normal life. But there's something about me that no one knows yet, 'Cause I am the Ultimate Fashion Designer!" A girl with shoulder-length black hair with blue reflections,  tied back in pigtails says in excitement.

"Fashion designer? That's amazing!" I exclaimed, feeling a spark of interest in the midst of the chaos. "Can you make clothes for us?"

Marinette blushed and nodded. "Of course! I can make clothes that are both stylish and functional for any occasion."

An girl with long, hip-length auburn wig with blunt bangs says. "Hello, I am Lila Rossi. You can call me Lila. I am the Ultimate Influencer!" She waved with a charming smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"Wow, an influencer!" I exclaimed, trying to keep my excitement in check. "That must be a cool talent."

Lila's smile grew a bit more genuine. "You could say that. I can convince people to do anything with just a few words. But let's not forget why we're here," she added in a more serious tone.

An thin and fair-skinned woman who had a small nose, a pointy chin, thin lips, upturned green eyes, thin eyebrows, and long pale blonde hair which she kept in a side ponytail walked to me. "Hello there, my child." She said in a calm, almost motherly tone.

"Hi stranger, I haven't take a habit for a long." I said to the woman.

"Yeah, make a good ways in the school, some darkened place. Where am I?" The woman confused to ask me.

"Oh, how rude of me. I am Emilie Agreste, but you can call me the Ultimate Mother." She said, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"Mother?" I questioned, not knowing what to make of that. Then, an pink haired girl with an little pigtails walked to me. "Hey, you just confused for a moment. I'm Natsuki, the Ultimate Baker." She said with a cheerful smile.

"Okay, you cute girl." I said, trying to lighten the mood a bit. "I am not cute!" Natsuki snapped back, a hint of annoyance in her voice. "But yes, I can bake anything you can think of, and it'll taste like heaven."

"Heavenly sweets?" I couldn't help but smile. "Maybe you can bake us a cake that will get us out of here."

"Maybe," she said, her expression softening a bit. "But first, we need to figure out what's going on here."

"Indeed. I'm Yuri. The Ultimate Poet." An girl with a very long, straight purple hair says, her eyes shimmering with curiosity as she approaches us.

"A poet?" I echoed, surprised by the array of talents gathered in the room. "What does that mean in this...game?"

Yuri gave a mysterious smile. "You'll see. Words have more power than you might think, Kise-san." Her voice was melodic, like a gentle lullaby that could lull you into a sense of safety or a trap.

"Let's not forget about me!" A cheerful voice interrupted from the back of the group. An person wears an cyan astronaut-like suit with a matching cyan visor and a candy-colored smile on their chest waved at us. "I'm Cyan Crewmate, the Ultimate Crewmate!"

"Crewmate?" I asked, my eyebrows shooting up. "What does that mean?"

The cyan-suited figure chuckled. "I'm from Among Us, Kise-san. I help keep the ship running and catch any impostors that might be lurking around."

Mami and I exchanged another look. This was definitely not your average school. "Yah-hah! How are ya? My name is Angie Yonaga! I'm the Ultimate Artist!" An girl has a brown skin with white hair and dark blue tone eyes says in an energetic voice.

"Artist?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "What kind of art do you make?"

Angie's eyes lit up. "Anything and everything! But I specialize in making the most amazing murals you've ever seen!"

"Murals?" I repeated, trying to keep up with the eclectic mix of abilities. "Okay, okay, okay. Greeting, I am Isabelle, the Ultimate Mayor's Assistant!" A yellow Shih Tzu dog with orange floppy ears and a ponytail says in an energetic voice.

"Wait, you're the Mayor's Assistant?!" I couldn't help but blurt out, staring at the adorable Shih Tzu.

Isabelle nodded enthusiastically. "Yes! I keep the town of Animal Crossing running smoothly and help the villagers with their problems!" She said with a proud wag of her tail.

I didn't expected animals are in the dark school, I spotted an girl has dark gray eyes, and straight, mid-back length black hair is standing here, menacingly. "Hello, are you look at me?" The girl said with a cold smile. "I am Ayano Aishi, the Ultimate Yandere."

"Yandere?" I questioned, my heart racing. I've heard of the term before in my manga readings, but I never thought I'd meet one in person. "What's a yandere?" I asked, taking a step back instinctively.

Ayano's smile widened, showing off her perfect teeth. "It means I'm obsessively in love with someone, and I'll do anything to protect them." She said, her voice taking on a chilling edge. "But don't worry, I'm not obsessed with anyone here...yet."

Mami put a protective arm around me, her grip firm. "We should probably get going," she whispered. "We need to find out what's happening."

"I agree!" A voice come out, me and Mami watched to see an boy has a black short hair and black eyes, who is sitting in the floor. "I am Sunny, the Ultimate Violin Player." He says in a sad tone.

"Violin player?" I whispered to myself, looking at him. "Could your music help us?"

Sunny's expression brightens slightly. "Maybe," he said, holding up a violin that seems to glow in the dim light. "Music can be very powerful, you know." A voice appearance, we looked an last person, an boy with fluffy brown hair and brown eyes, wearing an glasses. "I am Naoto Hachiouji, the Ultimate Illustrator," he said, holding up a sketchbook. "I draw what I see and feel."

Now we are eighteen people, what could possibly go wrong?

*DING DONG, BING BONG*

An speaker turned on, when an voice with aibelt person. "Hello, my fellow people. People often to ask. "Mono, how is it feel that I am the strong and hell headmaster?" Well, I would tell you." The lights flickered on, revealing a....bear.

"An bear?" Tsubaki repeated in disbelief.

"I am not a bear. I am Monokuma, the headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy!" The bear announced, his mechanical eyes glinting with malicious glee. "But enough about me, let's get to the fun part!"

The room grew tense as the bear spoke. "You all have been brought here to participate in the Killing School Life! You are all new students of Hope Peak's Academy, and your new school motto is 'Hope Peaks'."

"Hope Peaks?" Ayano says in confusion.

"Great." Lila rolled her eyes, her arms crossed over her chest.

"Lila, don't make lies for now. Okay, for a reason that you don't know Prince Ali because you've never even stepped foot in Achu, and despite what you got Alya to write on her Ladyblog, Ladybug has never saved your life!" Marinette exclaimed, her eyes flashing with anger.

Lila's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know that was a secret." She said sweetly, her voice dripping with fake apology.

"But Monokuma? What if we refused?" Marinette says to Monokuma with a hint of defiance in her voice.

"Ah, but you see, my dear," Monokuma's smile grew wider, revealing his sharp teeth, "You don't have a choice. You're all here to play my little game, whether you like it or not. And if you want to leave this place, you must play by my rules. The only way out is to win. And to win, you must kill one of your classmates and not get caught."

I heard a word is 'kill', all of the sudden, the air in the room turned heavy. The laughter and chatter ceased, and all eyes fell on the sadistic bear on the screens. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

"But why?" I squeaked, my voice barely audible. The thought of killing someone was too much to bear.

Monokuma's grin grew wider. "Why? Because it's the only way out, my dear. And let's not forget about the ultimate prize - the title of 'Ultimate Student' and the chance to leave this place." His voice was like a siren's song, tempting and terrible all at once.

"Harmless?" Sunny muttered, his grip on his violin tightening. "This game is anything but harmless."

"Eh, I didn't know that." Natsuki said with a shrug, her pink eyes meeting Marinette's gaze. "But it's not like we're friends or anything, right?"

Marinette's cheeks reddened. "We could be." She mumbled, looking away.

"What are you going for a school life?" Mima's eyes widened in horror.

"Let's just cut to the chase here folks… If you really, really feel like wanting to get outta here, then all you gotta do is… disturb the peaceful school life!" Monokuma's cackle echoed through the speakers, sending shivers down everyone's spines.

"Disturb the school life?" Emilie repeated, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. "What does that even mean?"

Monokuma leaned back in his chair, his mechanical eyes gleaming with amusement. "Yeah, it would be pretty disturbing if one person were to… murder another." He said menacingly.

"Murder?" J's voice was cold, her robotic eyes narrowed at the bear. "What kind of twisted game is this?"

Monokuma's grin grew even wider. "Ah, but it's not just about the killing. You see, the most important part is getting away with it. After a murder occurs, you must all participate in a class trial to figure out who the killer is." He paused dramatically.

"Class trial." Rem murmured, her gaze flicking around the room, assessing the people she was now trapped with.

"An trial of class?" Naoto echoed, his eyes wide behind his glasses. "You can't be serious."

"Yeah, as a mayor assistant. What is happen?" Isabelle asks, her eyes wide with fear.

"It means we have to survive by finding whoever the killer is and proving it," I whispered, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Murder and trial? Does this keeps works?" Cyan Crewmate asked, their visor reflecting the concern of the room.

Monokuma's cackle grew louder. "Oh, it will. Let me explain. Ahem… During the class trial, you will present your evidence for who you think the killer is. If the culprit is successfully found out, then… goodness! They'll receive punishment! However, if you pick the wrong person, then… oh fuck no!! I will execute you all, except for the murderer!" His laughter was the only sound in the room as the reality of the situation settled in.

The room was filled with a mix of shock and disbelief. We all looked at each other, unsure of what to do next. This wasn't a game we could just opt out of. "But wait, there's more!" Monokuma's grin grew wider, if that was even possible. "If you manage to kill and get away with it, not only will you be one step closer to freedom, but you'll also earn points for your next motive!"

"Points for murder?" Ayano's cold eyes gleamed with interest, while the rest of us stared in horror. "What kind of points are we talking about?"

"Oh, you'll see. They're very, very valuable. You can use them to bribe, to threaten, or to save your own skin!" Monokuma leaned forward, his paws clasped together in glee. "So, what do you say, students? Are you ready to play?"

"We don't have to do this," Mami spoke up, her voice firm.

"Okay, here are the e-handbooks for both of you." Monokuma pulled out about a dozen or so digital-looking pads, and tossed them out to each person. I caught mine with a tremble in my hand.

"These contain all the rules, and instructions for your new lives here at Hope Peak's Academy. Read them well, for your very survival depends on it!" His laughter echoed in the room as we all stared at the devices we now held. "Thank you for listening of the Monokuma, what a lovely hell dark day!!" He teleports away from us.

Monokuma's voice boomed through the speakers again. "You will all live in this academy for the foreseeable future. During the school day, you will be free to roam the school, interact with your fellow students, and investigate any suspicious activities. It is 10pm, sleep well and do not let your scary bed bugs or evil villains to kill!!" He laughs, turning the lights out.

We been so horrified and silent, the darkness of the room suddenly felt suffocating. "So what now?" N whispered, breaking the silence.

"We stick together," Mami said firmly. "We can't trust anyone."

"But what if we need to... you know, do it?" Tsubaki's voice was shaky.

"Do what?" Rem asked, her voice as calm as ever.

"Kill," Tsubaki replied, her blue eyes wide with fear.

Mami and I looked at each other. "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it," I said, trying to sound more confident than I felt. "For now, let's just try to figure out what's going on."

"But how can we survive for us?" Emilie asked questionely for a situations and concequences.

"This can't be real, we are stuck for a long every day in school horrors in hell??!!" Cyan was scared and horrified for a long timing.

"Who knew for killing, but we are die if we are kill each other.... sort of..." J's robotic voice spoke up, a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

"Let's not jump to conclusions," Yuri said calmly, her long purple hair swaying slightly as she looked around the group. "We can still find a way out without resorting to violence."

But the fear in the room was palpable, and I couldn't shake the feeling that we were all just pawns in some twisted game. The thought of being stuck in this hellish school for the rest of our lives was too much to bear.

"We should get some rest," Mami suggested, breaking the tense silence. "We'll need to be sharp tomorrow."

"Yeah, we need to plan something," Marinette agreed, her eyes darting around the room nervously.

We all nodded, unable to find any other words of comfort. The weight of Monokuma's 'game' was already pressing down on us. We walked out of the gym and into the hallway, the echoes of our footsteps the only sound in the eerily quiet school.

"Where do we go now?" Sunny asked, his voice trembling slightly.

"We should find our dorms," Lila spoke up, her expression unreadable. "The e-handbooks should have our room assignments."

We checked the devices and found out we were all placed in different dorms. I entered the dorm, the room was filled with yellow light and had a cozy atmosphere. It was definitely designed to be a safe haven, but the reality of the situation made it feel like a prison cell. I lay in my bed, unable to sleep, my mind racing with thoughts of the game we were forced to play. Miyuki, Nao, Akane, Reika, Candy? Where are you?
