“Dodoria?! Zarbon?! You’re working with these backwaterssss?!” Burter hisses as he glances between the two.
“That’s right, blue.” Zarbon retorted as he lands between the earthlings and the two members of the Ginyu Force. “And as long as I’m around, you aren’t going to be laying a finger on them. Freeza’s done beating people around.”
“Real bang up idea, Zarbon. But you’re forgetting you’re talking to two people who dwarf your power level.” Jeice reminds as he and Burter stand side by side.
Without warning, both fire a volley of blasts. The force being enough to push back the humans as they shield themselves from the intense blaze of blue and red energy beams. After some time, the blasts would stop. And smoke would rise from the epicenter of damage.
“Does that ever work?” Zarbon taunts as he suddenly bursts from the smoke, putting his hand around Jeice’s neck. “Well this will definitely work.”
Jeice gasps and gags as he stares in confusion and horror. Burter’s scouter activating just to read his power level. Somehow Zarbon went from a rube with a power level of 23000 to somehow being around 50,000. It was higher, but it was as though he was fluctuating between his base and monster form. Flickering to the higher power output just enough to defend against incoming attacks.
“GALICK GUN!” Vegeta shouts as he fires downward at the duo, intent on killing two birds with one big stone.
Elsewhere, Freeza was standing outside of his ship just as Ginyu arrived to drop off the balls. A little sound of joy escapes the tiny tyrant as he holds his hands up in excitement. Ginyu sets down each and every one of the balls in order to ensure that all seven are in place and in order.
“Delightful, Captain! If I were to rate this mission, it’d be a 100% success! S-Tier!” Freeza cackles excitedly, ignoring the distant sound of an explosion. “Now… It’s wishin’ time.”
“Actually Lord Freeza. First I must partake in the dance of happiness.” Ginyu explains casually.
“Uh… huh. That’s… Uhm… Can we get this done first?” The small emperor pleads, giving puppydog eyes to the large purple horned man.
“You know the rules m’lord. You may outrank me, but I’ve been here long enough to understand protocols. I’ll do it short and sweet.” Ginyu promises.
As the scene returns to the fight, Zarbon had hit the ground hard. He barely had enough time to shield himself from Vegeta’s blast, and was now severely damaged. A gasp escapes the beautiful prince as he steps forward, before growling out and firing a beam directly upwards at Vegeta, hitting him dead-on and firing the Saiyan into the air.
But for that moment, he lost attention on Burter, who managed to barely escape the Galick Gun. And now, Burter had a chance to dive right in after Dodoria, hands outstretched to pierce her skin.
“Dodoria!” Zarbon screams out as he tried to move in, only to be slammed directly with a Crusher Ball.
“Guh.” Dodoria mutters out, raising up what she had left of Guldo as a body shield as Burter blazed with blue energy.
“I’m on it!” Yamcha shouts, moving in to try intercepting.
While the earthling took the strike for Dodoria, he would be immediately sent flying, numerous cuts appearing all over his body before Dodoria would be kicked to the ground. As the alien woman tries to raise up, her head is stomped down by Burter, who now stands atop the lady.
“Nice try, sssspaceboy. But I’m the fassstest in the universssse. Nobody’sss gonna beat me in the realm of acceleration!” Burter taunts, before kicking Dodoria directly at the group of Krillin, Gohan, and Tien. “CATCH!”
Tien manages to catch Dodoria, only to end up falling backwards with the weight and intensity of the blow. A grunt escapes him as Gohan and Krillin arm up ready to fight, only for Jeice to appear in front of the duo and grab onto their heads and slam them together.
Yamcha roars out as he rushes from behind Burter. Hands in position for a Wolf Fang Fist, only to be dodged as he is then kicked to the ground. Burter chuckles down as his boot now lands on the human’s head.
“Ohoho today jusssst isn’t your day.” Burter taunts as he grinds his heel against Yamcha.
“Heh. Heheheh…” Yamcha begins to chuckle.
“What’ssss so funny?” Burter questions as he leers down, foot stomping on Yamcha’s back.
“You know. We were told to waste time. And we ended up taking two of you…” Yamcha chokes out.
Burter looks down confusedly, before glancing over at Zarbon. He lifts his hand and charges a blue energy beam. Firing with full intent to kill while he was unable to move from the pain.
The blast appears to make contact. A smirk of enjoyment crosses Burter’s face as he thinks he just tied up a loose end. He then stomps down on Yamcha again. And again. And again. His kicks becoming rapidfire gunshots against Yamcha’s body. But Yamcha knows.
He won.
“BOMBER DX!” A rough voice calls from the smoke, red energy erupting to blast Burter away from Yamcha’s body.
“What the- That’s-” Before Jeice can react, a man almost teleported behind him, giving the meanest stinkeye.
“Hey. Get away from my friends, my son, and their new friend.” Goku states, before giving Jeice a backhand with enough force to send him spinning to the side.
“Where did you come from?!” Burter questions as he floats into the air, before being grabbed by a large hand.
The hand slowly led up to an equally massive arm, wearing some silvery bodysuit. The light shining off of that body suit only further confirmed who it was. Burter heard from the reports he died. But here he is.
“We took a ship, silly.” Nappa jokes before headbutting Burter with enough force to knock the snake man out. “Was surprised to see you willing to work with the Earthlings, Zarbon.”
“Things change.” Zarbon speaks through gritted teeth as he is supported and floated down by Nappa. “If we didn’t help them beat the Ginyu Force, you would have arrived to dead bodies.”
“Whatever the reason is, thank you.” Goku spoke out as he holds out two senzu beans. Breaking each one in half. “Here. Have some, then give these two to Tien and your pink friend.”
“What are-”
“Magical healing beans.” Nappa quickly assured.
Zarbon quietly takes the bean half into his mouth and swallows. For a moment all his wounds disappear into him bulking outward. A gasp escapes him as he takes the two halves and hurriedly moves towards Tien and Dodoria. Goku smiles at the willingness and turns to move to Yamcha.
“Hey buddy. Thanks for trying to keep Gohan out of trouble. Hope this helps.”
Goku quietly slips the bean into Yamcha’s mouth. Watching as it heals away the damage he just took on account of Burter’s actions. With that, the desert bandit shoots up and has to recompose himself.
“It’s nothing, Goku. Thanks for the timely save. Do we… Have enough for Gohan and Krillin?”
“Nappa’s got it taken care of.” Goku assures.
Sure enough, Nappa was splitting and distributing a Senzu bean to that duo. A sigh of relief escapes Yamcha, before a moment of realization.
“Wait. That big bald guy’s with us now? Jeez, Goku. Who won’t you let turn over a new leaf?”
“Ah? It’s not that big of a deal.” Goku assures, chuckling at the statement. “So… That big energy I’m reading must be their boss.”
“Huh… Weird. Looks like Freeza’s on the move.” Nappa states as he furrows his brow a bit. “Hm. Maybe we better move in and get Ginyu while he’s alone. Speaking of-”
“ARE YOU CRAZY!” A shrill voice calls from within the now dented and damaged sea cruiser.
The door falls open. Revealing Bulma scurrying her way out towards the group. Her legs shaking from the fact that the ship got tossed about a good deal by the attacks happening. She was ultimately powerless to just watch as everything and everyone went feral.
“Oh! Hey Bulma!” Goku calls out excitedly.
“Hi there Goku.” Bulma momentarily switched to a more friendly tone before turning her attention to Nappa. “You almost blew Yamcha to bits with that hit! That’s the same thing that you used on Piccolo!”
“I… Wasn’t trying to go to damage. Kakarot’s been teaching me how to better control my ki.” Nappa sheepishly responds, getting timid at the scolding.
“And what is with you all calling him Kakarot! That’s not his name! Goku! Goooo-Ku! Say it!” Bulma shouts up, holding onto a lot of anger against Nappa.
“It’s really not a problem.” Goku responds, scratching the back of his head. “It’s like a fun little nickname if you ask me!”
“And the worst of it! Vegeta’s here and he almost killed us!” Bulma declares angrily as she turns her attention to Goku. “Are you going to be able to stop him if he comes around?!”
“Honestly. If he’s been slacking on his training. I’ll bet Nappa could stop him no problem!” Goku assures as he pats Nappa’s back.
During this whole exchange however, two bodies have fled the battlefield. And it only becomes apparent when Zarbon glances around. The noise must’ve woke up Jeice and Burter. They’ll be on their way back to Ginyu. This will definitely be a problem. But all problems come with a solution. And this new guy. Goku. May be the solution to the universe’s biggest active problem.
