Summary
Leon nods, says nothing, and walks out into the cold air. He’s not sure if he feels better or worse than when he arrived.
But when he stumbles his way into bed that night, fully clothed and stupid drunk, he swears he smells sweet vanilla and cedar clinging to his bedsheets. His head spins violently, and he barely has time to slide off the mattress and crawl to the bathroom before he wretches, his whole body shaking and his hair sticking to his forehead with sweat.
He doesn’t go back to Valentine’s for the rest of the week.
