The domed ceiling of the USJ towered over the students as they entered. The students chatted quietly about what they were expecting, when the Rescue Hero Thirteen began speaking about how easily a quirk can harm, and learning to use their quirks to save was very important.
Shortly after the speech, Aizawa joined Thirteen and they whispered something about All Might and a time limit?
Whatever, Izumi wasn’t particularly worried about it. She instead began whispering with her floating fluff ball companion.
Invisible to everyone but her, Winged Kuriboh was a great listener despite the language complications, and Izumi mostly managed by reading it’s body language.
Unexpectedly, during their whisper session, Winged Kuriboh managed to fluff itself up even more, trying to enter a defensive posture as a dangerous aura filled the air.
Darting her eyes around, she noticed a smoky black cloud forming around the fountain. Dozens of villains exited the cloud, preparing to attack.
“Back up students, this isn’t a drill, those are real villains!” Aizawa shouted, assuming an offensive position. “Thirteen stay with the students!”
Thirteen gave a small salute, as she began leading the students away, all but Izumi. Izumi pulled a small metallic device from her pocket, sliding it into her forearm.
As it locked into place on her arm, it began unfolding into a wing-like shape revealing a detailed design similar to that of half a table top game.
She calmly slid a decent sized deck of cards into the slot of the strange device, which automatically shuffled it. She began by drawing five cards from her deck.
She had two yellowy cards detailing pictures of monster-like creatures, and two red cards detailing strange objects and shapes, and one teal card showing an odd flute.
She began by placing a yellow card named “Lord of D.” onto the top slot of the disc-like accessory.
Suddenly a strange man wearing bone armor appeared in front of her, offering Izumi a small bow, before turning away from her facing the villains.
As the students stood in awe, Izumi placed the two red cards face down into two slots of the device, and played the teal one face up in another.
Suddenly a yellow horn resembling a dragon’s head appeared in Lord of D.’s hands, he blew into the horn quickly letting out a pleasant low hum, before disappearing from his hands.
The horn titled “Flute of Summoning Dragon” allowed her to summon up to two Dragon monsters from her hand, she only had one card remaining, so she played that one.
In front of her, a yellow skeleton dragon, with red muscle fibers was summoned called “Curse of Dragon”. She sent the two monsters to assist Aizawa, as she lay back keeping an eye on the battle field.
While admittedly shocked, Aizawa and Lord of D. fought well together. Aizawa using more strategic attacks, taking one villain and launching them into the others, and Lord of D. recklessly charging the groups of them, punching wildly.
Curse of Dragon blew small streams of flames at the villains, taking care not to kill them, merely take them out of the fight.
After every couple of villains defeated by her monsters Izumi was able to draw a new card.
Just after drawing her third card, Lord of D. was defeated by a villain with a bull mutation wielding an axe. As he was defeated, he dissipated into a stream of blue glitch-like pixels.
Izumi was shocked by her disc accessory due to her monsters defeat, causing her a bit of pain, and knocking off balance.
Suddenly behind her, the villain responsible for the cloud portals appeared.
“You heroes in training certainly are spirited.” The mist man said, his own form billowing slightly.
In shock, Izumi quickly activated one of her red cards. A trap card called “Shadow Spell” it summoned black chains from nowhere, binding the villain in place, and making him unable to activate his quirk.
The villain struggled, while Izumi turned her attention back to Aizawa. He and Curse of Dragon had almost defeated all of the villains, when the leader, a blue haired villain covered in severed hands shouted for “Nomu” to attack Aizawa.
Izumi quickly activated her other trap card called “Compulsory Evacuation Device”, which comically froze the Nomu in place as it rushed towards Aizawa, before flinging it sky high, breaking through the glass ceiling sending it far outside the USJ.
The blue haired boy stood speechless, staring at the hole where the Nomu was launched out of. Izumi quickly took the opportunity to activate a teal card, a spell card “Swords of Revealing Light”, freezing the blue boy in place.
Turning around, the misty villain was also effected by the spell, shedding him of his misty form, revealing a cloud haired man who seemed very confused.
The blue haired boy also seemed to shake off something mentally, and stared at his hands strangely.
Everyone was staring at Izumi for some reason now.
“Whats wrong you guys?” She asked innocently.
Behind her the door slammed open as All Might appeared in all his glory. “I am here, to save the day!” He boomed, looking around the USJ expectedly.
“We’re good, thank you though.” Izumi said, gesturing towards Aizawa, covered in blood and sweat, standing breathless in the middle of a sea of incapacitated villains.
”Oh.” All Might said intelligently.
”Kuri Kuri.” Winged Kuriboh said proudly.
