In the underground levels of the Pentagon, Cecil is watching the screens that are showing the chosen ones training. There is only 1 day left before the contest begins, where the chosen ones must fight the Hell’s chosen ones. Which they still don’t know the champions are going to be.
On the first screen is Generosity, Princess Morbucks, who with her new upgraded power armor has gotten back on the horse as it were, in using power armor like she did when she was younger. She’s been training under Bliss and her sisters to get back into fighting shape, and her element of generous, is actually the the most colorful of all the gemstones, being yellow in color instead of grey.
Kindness, Anne Boonchuy, her training has gone well and going to sessions with experts has improve things between her, Sasha, and Marcy but her gemstone is a dull greyish blue. But is the second most colorful of all the other elements.
Loyalty, Chloé Bourgeois, improvements done to her scorpion theme power armor has made her more powerful but her gemstone is only a dull purple grey. Ladybug and the others had been doing things to get Chloe to be loyal to their group, but nothing they have done has managed to gain her loyalty. But as the second strongest of the chosen ones, she’s the only other sure bet compared to the others.
Empathy, Sunset Shimmer, she’s still not fully recovered from being starved to skin and bones. Even with all the treatments and healing quirks used on her, she was literally just skin and bones when she was woken up, weighing under a 100 pounds. They had to go slow or risk her body not use to solid food having a bad reaction and it’s only been a week since she was able to start eating more than soup, porridge, and other soft foods. Sunset is still the strongest of the chosen, but her stamina and strength isn’t even close to a quarter of what she showed before. She just doesn’t have the stamina to endure a long fight. Meaning she has to end the fight fast. Her gemstone is a dull red thanks to Twilight and her friends spending so much time with her, where she actually has something to liking them around. (1)
Friendship, Izuku Midoriya, his training with firearms and power suit, has gone well. But for being empowered by the power of friendship, while some of the people who needed to befriend him, managed to get something close to being seen as a friend to him, others were just failures. Namely All Might, and Nezu, which the later is just called rodent by Izuku and insulted saying he should had just been kept as a lab animal, instead of a teacher who likes seeing his students suffer. And also physically abused as Izuku said that what’s a little physical violence between friends.
On the screen Izuku is drowning Nezu in a tub of water while he’s wearing his power suit, after he had driven his thumbs into Eraser Head’s eyes. Saying that having a friend who doesn’t mind being abuse, is a form of friendship even if is only one way. Izuku also been doing the same with the others who haven’t had any progress in forming a friendship with. Raiden has helped with that as it actually had results as while it’s a toxic friendship, it’s still something, like Izuku’s relationship with Katsuki, who is nothing but a beaten dog who been beaten into loving its master. The gemstone has turn a dull green grey color compared to the tinted green grey it was before Raiden decided to take matters into his hands. As it doesn’t matter if the friendship is toxic and one way, as long as there’s something there the gemstone would be powered. (2)
Trust, Lincoln Loud, while his training has been good, all but his sister Lily his gemstone hasn’t changed color but for the small orange light in the grey. His family just can’t convince him that he can trust them, no matter what they tried. As he said that even if they saved his life at the cost of their own, they’re only doing so became they have to.
Laughter, Luz Noceda, even with Eda trying her best to get her be like her in finding others being harm funny. And doing it to the people who turn her into what she is now. There has been no progress and her training has also bore no fruit as her heart and spirit isn’t there to train. But the gemstone is now has a tint of pink on it now.
“This is the best we could do with what we had to work with,” Cecil said to the camera that’s linked to the U.N. and the world leaders. “They’re either too damaged or we just don’t have enough time to fix them. We just need 4 wins, the chosen ones are going to rest up today for tomorrow as they need their energy and strength for what’s to come.”
“There’s nothing else?” Victory asks.
“Nothing that could help with the time we got left and not break any of the rules we have to follow. Ryoko is going to be checking them over before the contest and if anything is done to them that breaks the rules, it’s an automatic win for Hell. Which we still haven’t seen who the champions of Hell are going to be but they are bond by the same rules as us. And the fights have to be a fair one, any unfair advantages or cheats be an automatic lost,” Cecil said.
“Then we just have to hope they can do it,” Victory said.

“The Moonstars winning was more due to the fact, I was fighting for the last 5 days, with barely anytime to rest, eat, drink, or even use the toilet. The other heroes and the villains promised time off if they help, kept on attacking in waves, I had to hide whenever I needed some time to catch my breath. Lasting at most 10 minutes before I was found again. Father was prepared for me, as he had teleporters ready to teleport anyone I tried flinging into space to safety while I was busy with other attackers. I was already running on empty when I came upon them. Plus they had, Punguari a goddess of the moon and has the same power set as me, nullify my power so that her team could attack me,” Sunset explained to Lincoln as they talk using a group chat on the computer with the other chosen.
“So you didn’t have a plan or anything if you were discovered?” Lincoln asks.
“I did, it’s why it took 5 days to beat me. I kept using one plan after another in case my home was discovered. What I didn’t expect was father bringing in heroes not just around here, but also asked for heroes in other countries to join in or releasing villains to fight as well,” Sunset said.
“You did cause lots of damage when you go to another country. Like when you killed All For One and killed the rest of the League of Villains,” Izuku pointed out. “Why were you in Japan?”
“Same reason I went to the other countries, kill the competition. When I became a villain I also made sure that no other villain would go and become a problem for me later. All For One and his plan on becoming a god emperor would just cause problems later, so I went and took care of him and the other villains under him. The villains with their big plans of ruling the world wouldn’t had worked. Seeing how poorly the plans are usually implemented and made in the first place. And yes the whole Asteroid G plan, of using a rail gun to take the world hostage, was me showing the other villains how to do it right. And the cities, I destroyed while was in orbit were also the places that other rival villains had their bases in. Two birds with one stone,” Sunset explains.
“So that’s why you never bother to take out Hawkmoth while you were in Europe,” Chloe said.
“He was too focused on finding that cure for his wife to be a target for me,” Sunset said.
“What was your big plan anyways as a villain?” Izuku asks.
“Nothing more than ruining Celestia reputation for making me into what I am today. I did find being a villain more satisfying then being a hero, but I just acted most of the time. Luz for all of her suppress emotions, can still remember what she was like before. But for me I don’t have any memories of a time where I was normal,” Sunset said.
“I tried to change back, but I just couldn’t,” Luz said.
“Need to be more then just 30 days to fix what happen to you,” Princess said.
“Yes and all of us but for you Princess had a hard time thanks to the ones who changed us having to be the ones who had to fix what they broke. The triplets at least were faced and had their mindset of how the hero world works broken,” Anne said.
“Them mentoring under Major Man, their idol showing them that he’s more into the making money and getting frame then the being selfless fantasy that they clung to. They just needed to teach me to be more giving for my element to work and it gives me some power boost,” Princess said.
“Gives you increase strength, speed, endurance, durability, and a gives you an energy field that increases the power of your power armor,” Izuku said.
“Mine gives me a boost as well but not as strong or last as long as Princess,” Anne said.
“Well it’s not like my family could just get me to trust them. The truth stone showed me that they’re only being what a family should be like, only because they have to,” Lincoln said.
“It does showed them and the others how hard it is to fix their mistakes,” Princess said.
“I took enjoyment in mom’s breakdown,” Luz said in the dead panned manner she speaks.
“At least if we lose, it’s because of the ones who broke us first,” Anne said having heard how much is riding on Sasha and Marcy to fix her.
“Just another thing to add to the list that mom is blamed for,” Sunset said which is a very long list as Celestia is the reason why she’s how she is.
