Daniel's POV:
The explosion blasted the front of the Neuman's house. Flames consumed the structure, and Daniel's vision blurred. His head throbbed, and his limbs felt as if they were on fire.
The explosion did not impact Daniel as severely as it would have affected his younger sister. He crawled forward, searching for something to hold onto amidst the flames. The thought of reaching his little sister was the only thing that kept him going.
His hand wrapped around a pole; the fence was the only thing standing. He had to get his sister out before the enforcers came.
Daniel could hear shouting people outside the gates, forcing his aching legs to go faster. The smoke was so thick he could barely breathe.
He tore a piece of fabric from his clothing, which was easy since all his clothes were hanging by a thread.
He pressed the rag to cover his mouth and nose, blocking the smoke. His steps felt heavy, and the smoke made him lightheaded.
As Daniel rounded a corner, he noticed Scarlett's unconscious body. She looked badly beaten, her face covered in dark bruises, making her almost unrecognizable.
He scooped her limp body until his arms, started to retreat backwards as enforcers began to pry the gates open.
Daniel summoned the last of his strength to climb over the fence, hoisting Scarlett onto his shoulder. His legs felt like they were on fire, but he was determined to keep his little sister safe. He vowed not to let her down again.
His legs swung over the fence as he started to climb down. One hand guiding him down, the other keeping his sister from falling.
As soon as his feet hit the ground, he ran, as fast as he could. He had never run so fast, the only thing on his mind was getting his sister safe.

Daniel's POV:
Daniel's lungs felt like they were on fire. He could barely breathe, his breath coming out in hard panting.
He burst into Slico's office, "Help," He coughed, his vision went fuzzy as he walked into the office, swaying.
"What are you-" Slico's cut off mid-sentence when he saw Scarlett's limp, beat up body in his arms. "What the hell happened?!" Slico's number two—whose name he couldn't remember the name of stood up. She ran over and took Scarlett's body out of his arms.
Daniel swayed, struggling to stay standing. "Help her, please. I just wanted to help them. This was all my fault." He blabbered out, he coughed again reaching out to grab onto a bookshelf. Trying to keep himself steady.
"Take her to the doctor," Slico said to his number two. "No!" Daniel noticed Jinx—Slico's number one—stand-up. "I'll take her."
"Hell no!" Daniel shouted, "I don't trust you." All the things he's ever heard about Jinx came to his mind. None of them was good.
Jinx scoffed, "I don't care if you trust me or not. You're too weak to take her."
"Jinx will take her, I need Sevika to stay behind," Sevika muttered something under her breath and handed Scarlett to Jinx. It was clear she didn't trust her either.
"I'm coming," Daniel muttered, limping after Jinx. "Only if you can keep up," Jinx said, turning her head to give him a cocky grin.

Blaze's POV:
Blaze couldn't move, her arms and legs were tied down. Her head felt heavy, the explosion did a number on her.
She tried to leave her head but that was also restrained. "Jinx...?" The blue-haired girl was staring down at her.
Had Jinx kidnapped her? Of course she did, it was Jinx after all. She didn't even want to think about what Jinx had in store for her. It for sure wasn't anything good.
"Yes, cupcake?" Jinx asked, her hand coming up to wipe off some of the dirt on her face.
"What do you want from me?" Blaze flinched when Jinx's hand came up to her face. Jinx wasn't acting right, something was off.
"It'll be over before you know it." What? What the hell was that supposed to mean?

Jinx's POV:
Jinx pushed away the needle that the doctor tried to inject into her neck. "I don't need to be sedated."
The guy who brought Blaze's Injured body to them was passed out in the corner. He fainted shortly after they arrived at the doctor's office.
Jinx didn't know who he was but she already hated him. He had almost killed Blaze and to her that was unforgivable.
Even though Jinx had only known Blaze for a few months, she cared for her. She spent most of her free time watching—or so people call 'stalking'-Blaze. In her mind; she was just protecting herself. Not stalking.
Blaze coughed, her arms banging against the table. "Jinx...?" She mumbled weakly, almost inaudibly. "Yes, cupcake?" Jinx replied, gently wiping some dirt off her face.
"Distract her." The doctor ordered her and for once in her life Jinx listened.
"What do you want from me?" Jinx almost couldn't hear what the other girl said, her voice was so weak.
"It'll be over before you know it." She said, lightly stroking Blaze's face.
Jinx had never in her life heard someone scream with so much pain to horror in their voice, ever. "Hey, toots listen to me. You're okay." Jinx tried to reassure Blaze. But she most likely couldn't hear because of the amount of pain she was in.
"Hold her down, she may break the ropes." The doctor ordered, filling two more needles with either shimmer. Damn it, Jinx thought. Only if Zaun had the medical help from Piltover.
But all they had was shimmer.
"No, no, no!" Blaze screamed as the doctor brought one of the needles to her neck. Jinx held down her shoulders firmly. "Just focus on me, okay?"
Blaze's response was more screaming as the shimmer entered her veins. Jinx couldn't handle this anymore, she closed her eyes. Her grip on Blaze's shoulders only tightened.
Suddenly Blaze stopped resisting and her screams fell silent. Jinx's eyes popped open, did she die?
She pressed her fingers against Blaze's throat, and she let out a sigh of relief. There was a faint heartbeat.
Jinx started to untie the bounds, taking Blaze's limp body into her arms. She was way lighter than expected, with all her muscles and her height.
"Before you go," the doctor held out 4 vitals of shimmer. "One every week for a month."
Jinx shoved the vitals into her pockets. "Thanks." She replied, her eyes wandered to the guy from earlier. He was still passed out in the corner.
Jinx shrugged, deciding to leave him there.
