a long time ago your galaxy
glistened
across star-bright dreams
and boyish laughter,
eager and ambitious
your galaxy gave birth
to a little sun
destined to shine.

justice and friendship
empathetic and forthright
you were a Knight,
a mentor,
and a good friend.
your galaxy saw your
star-bright dreams
and praised you
freedom's protector.

You, little sun,
the fabled Chosen
One.

a long time ago your galaxy
glistened
until you stumbled into
Knight Fall—

not so long ago
you chose to hide
your hubris a weeping
heart
and you're too weak
to die in peace,
aren't you?

You,
