School Burning Down

Summary:

The COVID-19 pandemic has finally subsided, and it’s time for our squad (Aaiyanna, Anaya, Sana, Harshini, Roran, Nimrat, and Shruti) to return for their final year at Bellevue Elementary. Hopefully, the year goes amazing! (Spoiler Alert: It Doesn’t)

A crack fic that was dreamed up by my friend 6 years ago involving a cracked story about me and my friend group (dreamed/created by her, put into words by me). Involves a bunch of fifth graders getting involved a horrible scheme they never signed up for as there eventually is a zombie apocalypse, dinosaur outbreak, and robot invasion while none of them can function properly as a team despite knowing each other for their own entire life 👍

Chapter Text

Twas a peaceful day at Bellevue Elementary. I mean, life was great. The COVID-19 Pandemic had ended, and after a full year of online school, the squad was reunited just in time for their last year of elementary school. There were seven of them; Aaiyanna, Anaya, Sana, Harshini, Roran, Nimrat, and Shruti. Although, a lot had changed over the year-long break. Anaya lived in North Carolina now, states away from the rest of the group, and Shruti had arrived at Bellevue back in 3rd Grade just a week after Anaya’s move, so an unspoken rivalry was evident among both girls whenever the other was brought up. Also, Aaiyanna’s dad had finally gotten a job, as the principal of their school! They were all about to see each other for the first time (at least in-person) in a whole year.

Aaiyanna was the talkative one, a self-proclaimed cookie maniac, who knew everyone in the grade. Anaya was similar, but she was obsessed with Scottage Cheese instead (not Cottage. Get it right. Anaya doesn’t like when you mix up that peasant cheese with her beloved Scottage Cheese). Sana was prepared for every situation, with a seemingly never-ending backpack of supplies with the most random things inside of it. Harshini was a storyteller, and might have been the only one in the group who had any survival skills whatsoever. Roran was an artist, and was quieter than the rest, but always provided insightful solutions when she spoke. Nimrat was a social butterfly, although her recklessness could get her in really bad situations… and finally, Shruti was the slightly maniacal one, but they loved her anyway. The squad stuck together for their first four years of elementary school, and now they were ready to see each other again after a year of communicating exclusively through group calls. Now, let’s hope that they have an awesome school year together! (Spoiler: They don't.)
