Narcissa and Alice are in love, but love just simply isn't enough in the middle of a war.
Based of the scene in half-blood prince where harry and the others go to visit Arthur Weasley in hospital and Neville is there with his gran visiting his mother. his mother gives him a sweet wrapper and his Gran tells him to bin it saying he has enough to paper his walls by now. Neville doesn't bin it, he puts it in his pocket.
I think this scene is so fucking sad so i wrote this to make myself sadder <3Hope you enjoy Xxx

Illicit Affairs
Lily felt as if she was going insane. As if her world was ending. She wanted Mary. She wanted her more than anything. She watched as the boys and girls would sit on the benches, sucking each other’s faces off, and as gross as that seemed to her, Lily wanted nothing more for that to be herself, and Mary.

So yes. Marlene has been thinking about Dorcas all week. In fact, she hasn’t stopped thinking about her since she realised that she actually fancied her. So calling her a coward was probably the best idea Marlene had all week—better way to get over her feelings, she would’ve thought.

Her body was there, her mind was there, but her heart had belonged in the hands of Lily Evans.
Her every thought, her every breath, they were all for Lily, and Mary decided that no matter what, they would always be for Lily Evans.

“You’ll think it’s stupid.”
“More than likely, McKinnon,” Dorcas smiles, finding herself sitting down on the floor; the ice cold concrete. She’d do anything for Marlene honestly. “But tell me anyway.”

Summary
Marlene McKinnon was once told that ‘help will always be given at Hogwarts'. She had gone to her former headmaster, paranoia keeping an iron-clad grip on her as her hunt for a traitor progressed.
Two weeks later she was killed amongst her family. She died choking on a friend’s betrayal.
Dorcas Meadowes had the same words spoken to her a few years prior. Albus Dumbledore had looked her in the eyes and told her not to worry, that her friends would be given the help they needed.
She was killed fighting opposite those same friends, the ones who she had grown up with. She still lost them in the end.
Lily Evans heard that phrase as well. She’d held her child close to her chest and clung to her husband’s hand as she put all her trust in a man who promised they’d be safe.
She was killed protecting her child with her husband dead at the front door. She’d collapsed to her knees and screamed her lungs raw.
Mary Macdonald was told twice that ‘help would always be given at Hogwarts’. She was the only one to have lived.

Summary

After her final year at Hogwarts, Lily intends to spend the summer enjoying all of the free time she has with her friends, before they each have to find their place in adult life. She just has to get through her sister’s engagement party first.Petunia is closer than ever to having the perfect life. Her and Vernon are going to get married, buy a house, and have children. But her sister always has to make everything about her, and Petunia has had enough of all things freakish always ruining her happiness.
They don’t understand each other anymore, but perhaps the magic that made them grow apart can bring them together again.
