Summary
Shinsou, far more gifted in the art of deception, just glances over his shoulder with a blank stare and responds, “Midoriya promised his boyfriend he’d bring him Katsudon tonight. Says his mom has a killer recipe.”
Midoriya slowly turns his head to stare in disbelief at his classmate, and if looks could kill, Shouta would be writing an incident report on one very deceased Shinsou Hitoshi.
When Shouta raises a brow to express his doubt at the sincerity of that statement, his eye lands on Todoroki, who’s tucked directly behind the other two, face only visible above their shoulders.
Unfortunately, the kid is even better at schooling his features than Shinsou is, and he deadpans, “I love Katsudon.”
On a cold winter night, Shouta finds out that Midoriya's mother has an excellent katsudon recipe, and also discovers a very distraught Todoroki in the dorm kitchen. These two things happen to be marginally related.

"And if I don't comply?" Todoroki asks, staring the leader dead in the eye. The kid hasn't tried to make a break for it yet, but his restraints are tight enough that he can't move.
"Then you can't leave," Tomura replies. "We can do this all day." He mentally curses Dabi, who said that if he lays a finger on the boy, he'll burn down the whole warehouse. Now the most he can do is leave the kid tied up for a while, and that'll probably interfere with movie night. Damn him.
"In that case, I wish to stay." The boy turns to Magne, suddenly back to charming middle schooler mode. "Am I able to have a peanut butter sandwich? Father never lets me eat unhealthy food."

“I didn’t expect to see you today, my boy,” All Might said, eyes reflecting the universe. Tall and proud as if he had been at the peak of his career yesterday. "Was there something you needed help with? A case? Some unprompted fatherly advice?”
Izuku shook his head. “Nothing drastic, I hope, I don’t remember exactly why I came.” He shrugged. “Maybe I just wanted to spend time with you. It’s been rather slow up top.”
All Might smiled. “Well, I can’t turn that down, now, can I?” He hummed, placing a hand on his chin. “I think last time you were here, young Shouto was officially being banned from the kitchen. Has he set any more toasters on fire since?”
Izuku laughed, the story of how Shouto snuck out of bed two days prior to attempt to make coffee on the tip of his tongue when he shivered.
And perhaps, Izuku should have been more concerned about that development. The moment when the vestige world became cold. But he didn't, focused more on describing the expression on his fiancés' face when he had to explain to Izuku, for the second time, why they needed a new coffee pot.
But, maybe he really should have.

It’s not often that Shouto initiates conversation and Natsuo learned not to take it to heart. That’s simply how Shouto is. He knows his little brother cares because every now and again, he’ll receive a cute picture of a cat or some outdated meme followed by a question mark. Something that lets Natsuo know that Shouto is thinking of him.
So, when his phone chirps with a text from his brother, he looks up so fast it makes him dizzy. It’s likely another picture but he has to be sure. He’d spent enough time in his life not being there, a quick peek won’t kill him.
Shouto: Hey. I have a question.
Shouto: Several, actually.

Shouto had shown off his purchases, first a little shyly, and then more comfortably as his friends enthused about them. Even Bakugou showed a glint of interest, peering over Asui’s shoulder to examine the design on one of the shirts he had found, which Kirishima had dubbed manly and Jirou had described as eclectic.
But even showing them all off, he’d had Jirou’s words running through his head, over and over. You found some cool stuff, Todoroki. You, you, you.
Three years with Class 1-A have taught Shouto a lot of things. Mostly about himself, if he thinks about it. Well. Himself, and these kids whose hearts he built himself on, anyway.
