Summary
Marlene and Dorcas have hated each other ever since their first day at Hogwarts, and that's how it will always be. Marlene is in Gryffindor and Dorcas is in Slytherin. They were meant to hate each other, it's just how it works. The two houses have been rivals since the beginning of Hogwarts history so why should Marlene and Dorcas be any different?
Marlene is busy trying to not live up to her mother's expectations and Dorcas is just trying to get through her sixth year without being noticed. What could go wrong?

Summary
Marlene McKinnon is perfectly normal.
Marlene McKinnon likes boys, as all girls do. She's even got a boyfriend.
Marlene McKinnon has perfect control over her magic. And her emotions. She has perfect blond hair and perfect grades.
Dorcas Meadowes hates her for that – but it's fine, because Marlene McKinnon hates Dorcas too.
And Marlene definitely, definitely doesn't lie to herself about any of that.
Neither does Dorcas, for that matter.

Summary
She’d been doing it since she was thirteen - probably way too young to go out to strangers’ parties or gigs, with the naive hope of bumping into some big-time producer who would launch her to stardom. By fourteen, she knew all the bars around Hollywood - the ones that would serve her without a second glance, the ones with bouncers that would let her in. She knew most of the producers and managers that were around. She knew all the up-and-coming bands, the ones which people thought had a chance of making it, the ones which people thought certainly didn’t. At fifteen, she had tried almost every drug under the sun - meth and heroin being the only two that she considered off-limits. At sixteen, she still had the same dream when walking into a bar that she would meet a producer willing to give her a real chance, but she had it in a much more sophisticated, and much less naive way than when she was thirteen - with eyeliner.
Marauders au where they form a band set in 90s LA. Follows them pre-fame and then post-fame.

Summary
Marlene McKinnon and Dorcas Meadowes had always had strong feelings towards one another. But for a long time, that feeling was a deep-rooted distain. Dorcas thought Marlene was obnoxious, arrogant, and self-centred. Marlene thought Dorcas was too quick to judge, stuck up, and as snobby as the rest of the Slytherins. The flawed aspects of one another’s characters had never surprised either of them. But what did surprise them, was realising that there was a great deal more to the both of them that neither had realised.
This is a canon compliant, incredibly slow burn, rivals to lovers fic, that covers from the start of Hogwarts to 1981. Prepare for ANGST!
Disclaimer... I do NOT support JK Rowling and the ways she's using her platform to spread hate about the Trans community.

Summary
Dorcas Meadowes will always hold a special place in Marlene's heart: her very first crush. Painfully out of her league, probably straight, not to mention a thousand miles away, now that Marlene is at college. It's fine. Really, Marlene is perfectly happy with Dorcas being a little piece of her past. That is, until Dorcas commits to playing soccer at Hogwarts University. Through game nights, coffee dates, and meddling roommates, Marlene finds herself falling right back into old patterns again.
Officially putting this on hiatus (not abandoned!!) until I have more time and energy to work on it :)

Summary
Marlene McKinnon was once told that ‘help will always be given at Hogwarts'. She had gone to her former headmaster, paranoia keeping an iron-clad grip on her as her hunt for a traitor progressed.
Two weeks later she was killed amongst her family. She died choking on a friend’s betrayal.
Dorcas Meadowes had the same words spoken to her a few years prior. Albus Dumbledore had looked her in the eyes and told her not to worry, that her friends would be given the help they needed.
She was killed fighting opposite those same friends, the ones who she had grown up with. She still lost them in the end.
Lily Evans heard that phrase as well. She’d held her child close to her chest and clung to her husband’s hand as she put all her trust in a man who promised they’d be safe.
She was killed protecting her child with her husband dead at the front door. She’d collapsed to her knees and screamed her lungs raw.
Mary Macdonald was told twice that ‘help would always be given at Hogwarts’. She was the only one to have lived.

Summary
- "Eventually the body went limp, as bodies do. In a twisted way, it was Dorcas’ favourite part, the part the rush came from. She would watch as the muscles relaxed, the eyes rolled to the back of their head, the breathing stopped. Then, the body would go limp. It was like playing God, deciding who could live and who could die. Marlene may have been writing a novel, a book in which the plot was directed entirely by her, a project in which she had total control. But Dorcas was a step above. Dorcas got to look a person in the eye as they realised she was going to kill them." -
Killer Dorcas, crime author Marlene with main focus on Dorlene because they are criminally (get it?) unwritten, and that's unacceptable to me.
