“You’re like, what, a fucking Snow White now?”
Yahaba looks up from where he is engaged in the semi-worrying number of birds that are currently trying to perch (nest?) on multiple parts of his body. “So, what can you do?”
At that moment, a crow chooses to dive down to join Yahaba’s little party, giving Kyoutani a face full of feathers as it shoots past. In that same instance, Kyoutani monotonously recites, “A crow’s brain-to-body ratio is equivalent to that of a chimpanzee’s, and not that far off from a human’s.” Then: “FUCK!”
“Holy shit,” Yahaba breathes, because this is gold.
It is 5:45 AM, on June 1st, in the Miyagi Prefecture, the night a comet fell from the sky and suddenly everyone has weird powers and Yahaba attracts birds and Kyoutani is a walking animal documentary and this suddenly all hits, because Yahaba cannot stop laughing.

So that’s how Oikawa Tooru finds himself getting off the train with a half-full hot pink tumbler of lukewarm homemade coffee, brown Calvin Klein sunglasses hiding the rage in his equally brown eyes as he stomps his way to the police station, the dark lenses shielding every passing stranger from the ferocity in his gaze, only to accidentally stumble right into the arms of one irrationally handsome sergeant by the name of Iwaizumi Hajime the moment he enters the building.

It starts like this: the night before the Olympic closing ceremony, the Japanese men’s volleyball team decides to get together one last time before they scatter back across the globe. Then Hinata texts Oikawa that they’re all hanging out and Oikawa appears five minutes later, dragging Iwaizumi by the collar with one hand and clutching a bottle of tequila in the other.
So, Kageyama figures, everything that happens after is really Hinata’s fault.
