What an incredibly fucking weird feeling.
It’s like something inside of her shifts into its correct place with a satisfying click - there’s something, and she doesn’t know what it is, but there’s something deep in her chest cavity that was off-kilter before that exact moment.
To her surprise, Paul’s expression changes entirely, seemingly instantaneous upon looking at her. She watches as any pressure in his brow seems to relax entirely, the man’s jaw dropping open as he views her. His eyes look so soft all of a sudden, the look on his face seeming possessed, entranced in some way.
Entranced seems the perfect word to describe it. Before she can register what’s happening, the man has quite literally fallen to his knees, the look in his eyes nearing how a religious zealot would view an incarnation of God himself.
