Since Frisk has freed Monsterkind, they have been living on the surface together with Toriel since a few years.
Unknown to anyone else: Chara is bound to them. Over the years, once Chara got to deal with Frisk's annoyances, the two gotten a little closer.Now this night is different. Frisk feels the need to have a private moment for themselves to get the edge off, fantasizing about Chara watching them, but when fantasy becomes reality, Frisk and Chara have a somewhat awkward encounter at first, followed by a quick realisation that the two have liked another much more than they ever anticipated.
Chara can not be seen by anyone other than Frisk, and uses that to their advantage for some fun :p
Though they have their fun, it all stays rather soft. They're gentle with another, they are dorks in love not knowing the other thought the same until today— -

Toriel tells Kris she's going to visit a friend that works in the same place they were adopted from, Kris is bored so they ask to tag along. What they didn't know is that they'd meet two children, who's human like them.

They clear their throat again, pulling out the anatomy book and flipping to a specific page. You catch Female Reproductive System and then they’re flipping the paper and, yep, that is a full-page illustration of a vagina.
You…don’t quite follow.
“I have realized,” Chara says with a strained smile and note of hysteria, “That I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing due to the fact that I have been dead for the past hundred and ten years and never had to go through female puberty!”
Ah.

Chara needs to get out of the house, it's just too sad to see Toriel like this, after everything that has happened. Thankfully Chara has access to a car now, Toriel can get mad at them for leaving with it without permission later.
Frisk is working in the middle of a weekday, again. The only person in the shop, again. Dying of loneliness it's so sad man.... if only a cool and handsome young adult maybe possibly named Chara Dreemurr could save them from this hell, maybe Frisk could do the same back. -

Human SOULs were busted, to say the least. These little heart-shaped objects were highly packed with a substance that could destabilize time itself.
This is why a MONSTER getting 7 Human SOULs could turn into a GOD or why Humans were able to create a barrier that could only be broken by GODLIKE powers.
So it wasn't a surprise when a failed assassination on the Royals of MONSTERKIND ended up with the Royal Scientist's own project on Human SOULs (specifically DT) getting blown to bits which then proceeded to violently rip a whole between time, space, and reality.
In short, Chara not only ends up on a different planet but in a different universe entirely, where Mankind's hubris has caught up to bite them in the back. At the same time, an all too familiar genocidal Eldrich AI finds great potential in this other reality.
Or in shorter terms, Chara in Murder Drones.
