Summary
In this alternate universe of Doki Doki Literature Club, Kasai Akihiro—once a regular college student with dreams of becoming a writer—finds himself trapped in the aftermath of unspeakable tragedy. After joining the Literature Club for companionship and a creative outlet, his life takes a dark turn when Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki die in devastating, violent ways. The club president, Monika, is arrested for orchestrating their deaths and pushing Sayori into suicide, leaving Akihiro alone, traumatized, and questioning the meaning of everything.
Now 19, Akihiro struggles to live with the emotional scars left behind by these events. Plagued by survivor's guilt and a nihilistic outlook on life, he buries himself in his studies as a computer programming major while quietly nurturing his real passion for writing.
Akihiro paints the girls for the memories, desperate to preserve them, but finds their faces fading in his mind. With each failed attempt to capture them on canvas, his frustration mounts and his self-harm intensifies. As his isolation deepens, Akihiro’s mind deteriorates further, eventually leading him to develop Cotard's syndrome—an eerie delusion that he is already dead, trapped in a corpse-like existence.

Monika's Literature Club at the university is doing good enough. She has two incredibly talented girls by her side on the project, Natsuki and Sayori, and even though they aren’t one of the most popular clubs in college, they’re working hard to show what they are capable of and attract new members.
One day, a mysterious member is recruited. She's extremely intelligent and talented too, but there is one problem: for some reason, she can barely read or speak in front of Monika. As the festival approaches, tensions increase and they desperately need Yuri's cooperation, but her difficulties near the leader seem to get worse with each passing day. It's time for Monika to step in and find out what this is all about.
The most reasonable way she could think of was to lock them in the storage closet for a couple of hours to talk. The results are fun.

As new classes roll in for the semester, Tadaki seems to be put into a new class with an old friend, Michizo. Will Tadaki be able to adjust to the Literature Club and follow Monika's assignments, or will he give up with all this newfound pressure?
