“Please welcome Spartan.” Miss Martian had said, as their temporarily acting team leader, with a hand on Jason’s shoulder.
Jason glances to Dick at the front of the crowd. He can’t believe they actually chose that name for him.
And he knows it was all Dick’s idea.
(Well… maybe the smug grin on Donna’s face says a little differently.)
The reporters all burst into action and the cameras flash just a little brighter, and Jason lets his expression drop into his resting bitch face and refuses to answer any of the audience’s questions.

“No.” Donna turns harshly, takes one long stride forward before pushing Jason back with a hand in his chest. “Quiet. I will not stand here and listen to you feel sorry for yourself.”
“I am not Diana.” She says all of a sudden. “And you are not Dick Grayson.”
Everything makes sense now.
“You lived your entire life in their shadows, Jason. But you don’t have to. You’re more than that. So be something, damn it.” Her voice rises to a yell, now, which attracts the attention of a few Amazons around them, “You know why men aren’t allowed here? Because we know they can’t be true to themselves. There’s always.. something… Please,” She sets a hand on his shoulder, “Stop trying to please everyone. Because it’s not going to happen. Ever.”
