    Summary

    "Dear Mr. Hamilton,
I regret to inform you, that on Tuesday the 27th, my son was killed in a car crash, on his way back to school from South Carolina. He died before the paramedics arrived to the scene. The funeral was only with close family. He was buried in the Laurens Family Cemetery in Moncks Corner.
    H. Laurens"

Hamilton couldn’t breath. His thoughts were running at lightspeed, trying to process what he just read. He read it again. Then again. And again. Again. Again. Again. Again. Again…

    ---

John Laurens was very much alive. He sat on a plane to France, and he cried.

For once in his life, General Arnold finds himself satisfied and at peace as he lies in bed, reading with Major André on a rainy day. His military guidebook is absolutely enthralling, but the major's literature of choice, which he studies with the most serious demeanor, is something else entirely.

    "My dear Sirs,
The heavens promise an appearance most remarkable this night; the Milky Way, unimpeded by moon or mist, will furnish a spectacle worthy of philosophy. You are cordially commanded—nay, entreated—to ascend Monticello with me at sunset, there to contemplate the firmament as Nature intended: with trembling awe and mild discomfort upon the grass.
    Yours in celestial curiosity,
    Th: Jefferson."

SPOILERS TO Good night, mister Hamilton

Hamilton survived 12th of July thanks to what some call ‘Providence’. But only few knew the truth — it was in fact sitting president Thomas Jefferson, who stopped the duel. What began as an interruption of murder soon becomes an interruption of life itself, as two lifelong enemies find themselves bound by a secret more dangerous than pamphlet either of them could pen. In the glitter of receptions and the silence of midnight meetings, rivalry gives way to something far more volatile — a battle neither man prepared to fight.

    Summary

Where John Laurens meets a stranger on a tavern whom he can't stop thinking about.
And then he mets the same man again on his first night as General Washingtons' aide-in-camp.

“Are you a patriot, sir? Do you believe in the revolution?”
Laurens was taken aback by his question. He did not know what he expected, but it was not this.
    “I do... Why?”
The man gave another one of his flashing smiles.
“Well, then support the troops and pay me a drink, will you?”

    Summary

In another world, this never would've happened.

A tavern keeper never would've risen so high. A bastard orphan, son of a whore, never would've held so much power. A preacher never would've taken up arms...and invisible ink. A son of South Carolina never would've died how he did.

Come along and read about a very different version of the founding of America. The world will never be the same, since, after all, this isn't our world.

1774- Benjamin Tallmadge is a new minister freshly arrived at his new post in Albany, a city teeming with rebellion and overwhelmed by some interesting characters.

1777- John Laurens entered Washington's headquarters to accept his position as an aide-de-camp. He finds himself drawn into a complicated web of lies, intrigue, and even murder, all before the new country was even born.

1779- Alexander Hamilton gets quite the rude surprise while at camp, a surprise that he must learn to deal with as the betrayal of an up-and-coming general comes to light.
