This is an alternate version of notastumph's Kick Drum Beating in My Chest Again. It is a different take on Prison Break but with Vampires. Patrick is a doctor in a prison and is happily married. One day, a new prisoner comes in named Pete Wentz, who is there to break William Beckett out of prison. Pete arranges for a riot of the prisoners to act as a distraction for his and William's escape plan, but it fails. Afterwards, Patrick feels himself being drawn to Pete and he doesn't know why. When Patrick has to transfer a stabbing patient to the hospital, things go very, very wrong. Patrick is framed for a crime he didn't commit. How will he adjust to life in prison? How will he get out? They were short, most of them about a tragic breakup, but some were about growing up and friendship, which- okay maybe they were a little cheesy, but Mikey found them kinda sweet. He wouldn't admit it if asked, though. But they were good. On the last page there was, written in different handwriting "Come see Fall Out Boy this Friday @ the Knitting Factory 8PM!!" Mikey flipped through the zine again. The band's name sounded oddly familiar.
