A hermitcraft meeting. At least that’s what it started as. Xisuma was sitting in a normal weekly meeting listening to False’s plans for the nether hub, when he heard thunder. His entire body immediately went stiff. Wherever there was thunder there was lightning. Grian squawked, giggling slightly leaning his chair to try to get a peek out the window. “It looks like a big one, no wonder my feathers have been going crazy today.” He stared at the rest of the room blankly, “I think it’ll get here soon. Like really soon, we have like 15 minutes max before it starts pouring.” Scar squealed excitedly running off to a random door of the building coming back with his arms bundled in blankets, “I knew a day would come where I needed these!” Doc rolled his eyes. It was common Scar behaviour to hide blankets in a business building.
Xisuma eyed the room of pure terror creeping into his system. Ever since last season’s…guest. A certain evil twin. He hadn’t been able to stand the sight of lighting without having flashbacks to the things that had happened then.

Cleo moved quickly, leaping toward the woman in front of them, yanking her by the arm that had been on the gun and twisting. The woman let out a strangled cry as she was thrown down in one fluid movement.
Cleo barely registered the sound of footsteps coming closer as she snapped the woman’s arm and slammed her to the ground, reaching for the gun on her hip and disarming her.
They turned to face the other man, the one that had originally been following her. As she turned, she found that he was much closer than she’d previously imagined, he grabbed her and slammed her against the hard concrete on the ground, they struggled, grabbing at the arm that was holding her in an attempt to flip him over herself, but he was relentless, pressing a knee into her back, and a gun to her head.
She froze, going entirely still.

When Xisuma and Cleo left for an easy reconnaissance mission of the base of a smuggler ring they'd been tracking, they hadn't expected much drama. Unfortunately, though, their ship was spotted when they were a few minutes out from the base, and then their entire plan got chucked into a wood chipper (figuratively speaking, of course. Joe was too smart to let them write down their plan). Now the two of them were stuck on a random moon with no working ship and no way to contact their people back home, leaving it up to the them to make their way back to their family. However, with no pacifist Hermits to convince them to hold back, maybe their arrival is more of an issue for the inhabitants of the moon, and less of one for X and Cleo themselves...

But really, how could Pearl expect her to convince all the different emperors to meet once a month to maintain the delicate peace they were lucky enough to find themselves in? The Fae King hadn’t even left his empire since the Mesa War. He sent a gift to Pearl’s coronation, and that was the only reason Katherine and Pearl knew he was still alive. Then there was the matter of convincing Count Fwhip to come out of the Goblands and to the surface of the realm. She needed a plan; Fwhip wouldn’t want to be left out just because he was the only underground empire, so all she had to do was convince Fwhip that everyone else was definitely coming and he couldn’t miss it. Martyn would come if she provided cake, so she would mention tea and cakes in the invitation. If she addressed her invitation to Emperor Scar, he would definitely want to come to any party, and Emperor Scar would easily convince his husband, Emperor Grian, to be in attendance. So that just left King Scott; he was a fae and he wouldn’t go back on his word, so maybe if Katherine went to talk with him in person, she could get him to agree to attend.
