He tried not to look too long at Sanson, flicking his gaze over him equal to the others. He hoped, anyway. It had been near three weeks since they'd last seen each other, that brief morning Sanson had been in Gridania. The few letters Guydelot had sent received no replies. Matron forgive him, he shouldn't be peeved at Sanson for it, but he was.

Home, in this case, means his quarters in the barracks, further meaning a depressing little cot, a wardrobe, and naught else but a desk crammed with all the work Sanson has managed to take back with him. Guydelot rather thinks that, less than encouraging convalescence, it’s the kind of place you’d take someone to bore them the rest of the way to death.
He snorts, and turns his steps toward his much more comfortable apartment. “Since when am I the coddling sort? I have my own selfish reasons for wanting you over.”
