Felassan raises an eyebrow. ‘Even you?’
Solas looks out across the river, and for a moment he is dizzy with the way the waves beckon him, the little lies they tell in every shift of the tide. He should deny it, but he finds that he cannot.
‘Most especially me,' he says heavily.Solas is a famous detective with a troubled history dating back to the wars that destroyed his homeland. When he embarks on a cruise along the Enavuris River to pursue a lead in his most recent case, he encounters a passionate love triangle which comes to a fatal end.
Complicating the tragedy is the fact that the victim Justinia, heiress to the Chantry fortune, was murdered with Solas’ own gun. And then there’s the problem of his extremely inconvenient attraction to the prime suspect, Jacqueline Lavellan.
As the cruise continues through the wilderness, rapidly approaching the Veil that separates the south of Thedas from the mysterious north, Solas races to uncover the truth before the killer can strike again.

Summary
The explosion at the Conclave damages the Veil irrevocably, and breaks open Elgar'nan's prison. Solas is still weak from his slumber, but if he does not find a solution quickly, great evil will be released upon the world. Working in secret within the Inquisition, he searches for a way to seal away the Blight and defeat Elgar'nan before time runs out.
Of course he cannot afford to be distracted by the elven woman who has become known as the Herald of Andraste - this would be the worst possible time for him to fall in love.
This is an Inquisition-era AU where the explosion at the Conclave goes even worse and Solas is forced to do a lot more plotting and scheming. Featuring secrets revealed earlier than in canon; some adventures in ancient Arlathan; plus an excursion to the Black City.

A tale of feline rescues, vet visits, love, nature walks, and many horrible choices. One of the cats is nicknamed the Orb. Our favorite elves do much mutual pining.

Rook would decide later whom to blame for her current predicament. It was possibly going to be Felassan, who had dropped hints about his special friend’s special weaknesses. Or perhaps Ellana, who had whispered distinctly pointed suggestions in Rook’s ear during postcoital moments: a time when Rook was highly, highly suggestible. Or maybe Solas, who, and this really needed to be unequivocally stated, had no business looking at anyone, and especially not at Rook, with eyes so intense. Not to mention being so tall.
Most likely, it was the combination of all of the above that drove Rook to temporary loss of reason, which made her tell Ellana, “Your vhenan should watch us fuck.”Rook, Ellana, Solas and Felassan are now in a complicated relationship, and Solas and Rook are the only pair not to have fucked yet. Actions have consequences. Everyone has fun.
Takes place after the end of We Can Fix It, but can be read as a porn without plot.

The ongoing conflicts between their mages and templars have already affected her clan, and as their Defender, sworn to lead their hunters, it's her job to protect them.
Now, with the strange mark burned into her hand and her entire team killed in the explosion, she has to find a way forward. She has to get back to the Free Marches at any cost.
