Mega Ambler commed him on his personal line, and the call connected almost instantly.
“I thought prison wards had their own medics.” He said in lieu of a greeting.
Blue Cop’s voice was low and quiet. “They do. But no one wants to go in there. I couldn’t think of anyone else to call.”
Mega Ambler quickly signed off from his duty roster and assigned someone else to fill his spot. “I’m on my way. Why isn’t the inmate being treated? Is he unstable? Easily provoked? Dangerous?”
“According to these records…yes.” A pause. “His designation is Phoenix Fire.”
Phoenix Fire gets arrested. Mega Ambler rushes over to see him, one last time.
Not knowing when they'll meet again, Mega Ambler comes forth with a selfish request... to connect their cores in an unbreakable bond.
