He feels betrayed and feels like most of his life was a lie. Thankfully, the Happy Mask Salesman, Tatl, Tael and Shaw are there to comfort him. The HMS is fatherly and a dad to Link. The HMS and Link understand each other on a level that no one else understand them and what they have been through. They talk about the horrors they have seen and suffered. They eventually find healing and peace.
I'm better at writing stories than summaries.

Summary
This is a Legend of Zelda series in three parts, three one-shots, and also a couple companion pieces. The story takes place post-Majora's Mask and is mainly about the Happy Mask Salesman (his name is Masao here) who is the last of the Ancient Ones, how he helped the people of Termina and Hyrule, and his part in breaking the curse/cycle on the three bearers of the triforce. Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf are in part 2 and 3, but not in part 1. Part 1 is only the Happy Mask Salesman, Tatl, Tael, and original characters. This series also explains the origins of Navi, who she really is and what she has experienced ever since she left Hyrule at the end of Ocarina of Time.
If you cry while reading this series, remember that I cried more while writing it.
