Chat Noire came out as a girl a few weeks before Monarch got the miraculous. Adrien(ne) Agreste didn't come out publicly to anyone except her class. So after Gabriel Agreste, aka Monarch, is defeated, she and Marinette (her wonderful partner) take the chance to get Adri, Plagg, Nooroo, and Duusu out of Paris; she changes her name to Adrienne, takes Abuela Attoms's last name, and moves to middle-of-nowhere Maywood Glen, USA, for high school/lycee.
It was supposed to be freedom from the public eye, a chance to be a girl without being visibly trans, a chance to be something other than Adrien Agreste
sonof Monarch.Unfortunately, her best friends drag her into being a spy. So it's right back to seeing her trauma everywhere she looks, except she can never tell anyone but her kwamis about it. Adrienne Attoms is a normal Spaniard girl, after all, who only happens to be a spy.

Summary
Medieval Paris has undergone a massive change. While magic is still mostly uncontrollable and hard to learn, magical technology has had major developments that allowed for the creation of many different tools. With the use of magic inventions, the technology of the era has surged forward, but the social field has not followed. This led to a society where the technology is advanced but the government is ruled by nobles. The upper class live in a tower central to Paris, known as the Eiffel tower, and rarely ever leave. They consider the rest of the city to be the slums, no matter the condition.
Magic users are rare. Those who can use it sometimes find themselves ostracized by their peers. Users often find that using a keyword can make magic easier.
Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, Nino, Alya, and Kagami all live in the city of Paris. Some are thieves, some are vigilantes. How will their relationships work between enemies and allies?
The first chapter is all expositional information. (You should read the exposition before the first real chapter.)

Is she a responsible Guardian, or has she really been hoarding power? Is she in love with Adrien, or is she really obsessed with an illusion?
