She was a teenager; she thought she knew everything, probably felt invincible. He remembered the feeling. “This isn’t the place for a kid your age—even with your abilities. you have a life to live, you have to go to school, you have to be with your family—”

    “I don’t have a family.” She cut in quickly, toneless.

    Matt tilted his head slightly to listen to her heartbeat. While it didn’t sound quite like a lie, it wasn’t the whole truth either. She was holding something back with that statement.

    There was a part of him—the part of him that would have said the exact same thing at her age without hesitation—that wanted to pry.

    I LOVE fics where Matt ends up training Peter Parker, and wanted to do my own spin on that with Sun Spider, adding some Disabled Superhero Solidarity to the trope! Knowledge of Sun Spider isn't necessary to read. There's very little canon to work with so there's a lot of stuff I just made up. Any needed context will be in the notes!
