After the event of The Rage of Emerald when Shadow the Hedgehog and Metal Sonic managed to destroy the creature who caused the infections after Shadow and Cream left Green Hill Zone due of the emerald infection there is nothing left with crystals and never be same again.
But Quake Beast, Storm Beast, Lava Beast and Umarak arrived when the portal opened and want revive those infections who fell at the hands of Shadow and others but this time there a new infection called Crystal it's success of rage of emerald when Snively and Spark Mandrill gave the order to make an Crystal infection color types.
The survivors are Ekimu, Chips, Hot Shot and Optimus Prime are the 4 survivors that must return in the present timeline to fight the crystal infections before the Crystal infections will start infecting the timelines!

Summary
Gillion was once a renowned motorcyclist, but after a bad crash, he damaged his leg and had to drop out for his safety. He moves to Canella with his busted-up race bike to get away from the fame, living off his previously earned money until he can't. That's when he decides to look for a job and finds a friendly flower shop to stay at. What he doesn't know is that he's only helping out their faux front.
Chip owns a bike shop and makes modifications for the right price. He's been working on a team to compete instead of just helping, but needs another racer for them to have a fighting chance. Despite the majority of the area having high regulations against races on the streets Zero is a hotspot for them. When Lizzie tells him about an opportunity that walked right into their hands he can't help but jump at the chance.
TLDR: Gillion used to be a racer but had to quit because of an injury. He moves to Zero and finally gets a job. Chip owns a workshop and needs one more person to make a racing team, Lizzie knows just the guy.
