Inside was a note explaining everything, and a phone that would be tracking In-ho's location through a chip he'd had put into him, using the old scar from when he gave up his kidney to hide it's location. If they looked closely they would be able to find it, since his stitches were a lot less skillful and fresher then the ones done by the surgeon. Even then they wouldn't have the chance to notice it until they were already undressing him. So if they got it there and destroyed it, so be it, he would have the location.
In-ho gave him his well practiced fake smile, "Think of it as an early birthday present."

Gihun is one of those people that are able to cultivate which brings an extended lifespan and the abilities to manipulate the world around you. Decades ago Gihun cutlivation was halted as he was kicked out of the sect he had been with, left to purposely wander the land until he gained a new Shizun name Malsoon. Life was hard with just the two of them but they were happy with the simplicity. That is until their lack of resources spells out peril for Malsoon.
His prayers were answered with a strange game with a strange man who promises him the reward he needs as the prize for a competition. With lack of a better option Gihun accepts.
This is a loosely Xianxia spin on squid games stretching across all the seasons. You don't need to be familiar with the genre as this is very much my own take on it!
