Deep inside of an abandoned laboratory, a humanoid entity remained floating inside of a status tube, that person in question was SONICFAN, the true Multiversal-being of the Danganronpa universe.
He had been left floating inside long after "The Biggest, Most Awful, Most Terrifying Event in Human History", while the supposed purpose for his creation was to help bring the world to despair by Junko Enoshima originally, Chihiro Fujisaki had different intentions in mind, wanting revenge upon humanity from taking away the life of his beloved mother, and didn't see SONICFAN useful for his plans.
Sometime later, members of the Future Foundation go searching through previously-stated laboratory, trying to find any remains of it considered useful.

“Komaeda?”
“Why are you here?” Hinata gets startled by Komaeda's tone, as if there's no feeling behind it.
“I.. I'm worried about you like I said. I–”
“You shouldn't worry about trash like me. You should spend time with the other ultimates. It seems more fun and less bothersome.” Komaeda says it, again with an emotionless tone. The tone is making Hinata almost lose his patience, despite the fact he knows he needs to be more patient.
But this is Komaeda they're talking about.

"Boring." he commented and Komaeda laughed sheepishly as he stood up, palms bleeding slightly. Izuru kept his eyes on Komaeda's face.
"Ah, I guess my plan was pretty obvious... Especially to someone like you... I hope that doesn't ruin your appetite!"
Izuru held out his right hand once Komaeda got closer and he gasped audibly.
"I... I'll admit, I didn't think that would work.”
