He should have known when she first opened the Tin Suit that he would be bound to her for life. The minute his eyes met hers he knew he couldn't walk away. His devotion to his missing family caused more pain than any of them would think to imagine. He had to find them, even if it meant he had to push away pure happiness. She on the other hand wanted nothing more than to stay by his side, help him whenever she could and jump his bones. The pull she feels towards him is enough to put her quest on hold as she tries to navigate how she is feeling. Takes place at the same time as the TV Mini Series. Jumps back and forth from DGs and Cain's point of view. Very slow burn, approx about 30 chapters.

A Tin Man vid for the DC Slash Forced Chaos Swap Day challenge. I was assigned this song, "Best Day of my Life" by American Authors, and it made me think of DG and her maddening, baffling, painful, but ultimately joyful, return to the Outer Zone.
I love the way that she restores parts of the O.Z. as she regains her memories and her magic, especially in that moment when she finds the perfect skipping stone that she and Az put away "for the perfect day."
