"Gather your strength, Daeron. I will get you to the Ford of Bruinen.”
“Will you swear it, kinslayer?” Daeron asked, voice heavy with irony and with something else Maglor couldn’t quite identify.
He paused for a moment. Then he said, “Yes.” -

Mae govannen na in-ennyn eryn! (Well met at the gates of the forest!)
Our story? A disenchanted NYC lawyer moves to rural Ireland, unintentionally entangling herself with the Wood-Elves of Hobbit fame that never departed Middle-earth. An Irish ex-con plus colorful friends soon follow and life is never the same. The deeds and achievements of the younger race of Men in all their splendor and horror unveil to the ancient, immortal and arguably stagnated race of Elves, leaving much to be explored of society, history, culture and beyond. More than two decades’ story time tell a tale of social collapse, families that grow under one very large roof, battles against past and present traumas, prejudices, and the slow return of the great First Age Elves to the light of day. Eru Ilúvatar had a plan for this world of Arda. Tolkien never elaborated. So a little voice said: "Go finish the Ainulindalë." And we respectively said: "Okay. I need tea."This fic has a Discord server, Aran Thranduil's Dining Hall. All readers are welcome: https://discord.gg/ywxmuHpXba . We lurk mostly 10am to 10pm Pacific Standard Time. Link not working? Summary
"If you are a hero- go with the dawn,
And turn your word into reality.
Take the northern road, to the Kingdom of Darkness,
And return with a Silmaril..."Two different fates are woven together when Lúthien, an elven princess, falls in love with Beren, a hero of mortal men. To win her hand, Beren is sent on an impossible quest- to cut a legendary gem from the crown of the Dark Lord. So begins this battle between light and darkness, love and duty, in the most enduring tale of Middle Earth.
Recently adapted in Russia as a rock-opera, the Lay of Leithian is reimagined and revitalized. With a stellar cast, and music composed and adapted by Skadi, it's an entirely new way to experience the story of Beren and Lúthien.
Here you'll find the entire libretto translated into English, best used as subtitles for the 2021 livestream recording. Information and links for viewing are included in the notes.

Summary
Centuries after the arrival of the Noldor and the Teleri in Beleriand, a celebration of Morgoth’s defeat brings the Crown Princess of Doriath and the Crown Prince of the Noldor together. To save this newborn peace from their respective fathers, they’ll do whatever it takes. Including... getting married?
Meanwhile, Lord Fingon of Himring faces the monumental task of healing Morgoth’s ills.
--
They regarded each other with quiet understanding, all the vast majesty of their respective lineages rendered unimportant by the connection between them. Music wound through the trees; harp and flute, surely joyous in context, sounded lonely in their solitude.

Summary
“Come on.” Maedhros grabbed his hand and pulled him along down the path, both of them quickening their pace now, until the trees opened up into a wide meadow filled with flowers, bright yellow celandine and dandelions and sweet-scented pale chamomile mingling with cornflowers and irises. On the other side of it was a larger party than Maglor had ever seen in Lórien—five figures sitting in the grass. Huan barked again, and they all looked up. “It seems everyone has come to fetch us home,” Maedhros said, laughing, as all their brothers scrambled to their feet.
After years in Lórien, Maglor and Maedhros are ready to return to their family and to make something new with their lives--but to move forward, all of Fëanor's sons must decide how, or if, they can ever reconcile with their father.

Summary
This is dangerous, he thinks again but maybe it’s something they need, to tempt disaster again like old times. He has a thousand litanies to violence and betrayal, they can afford themselves one night of gentleness -- or at least the closest they can come to the real thing.
Daeron and Maglor find each other again.

Summary
They passed out of Lhûn and the wider coastline of Middle-earth opened up before his eyes. He had wandered those shores for centuries, and even now he felt the pull of that same wanderlust, and knew he would miss them for the rest of his life. Their wildness, the untamed waves, the rocky shores and the cliffs and the sandy beaches. The gulls, and the dunes, and the tide pools with their ever-changing denizens. Someone began to sing a song of farewell, and other voices took it up. He did not join them.
Maglor keeps a promise and comes to Valinor, only to find the ghosts he thought he'd left behind are alive and waiting for him.

Summary
Fëanor’s second daughter is all Noldor; tall and grey-eyed, star-bursts of dark brown freckles dusting her pale skin. Her figure is thinner and flatter than is fashionable in Doriath; its saving graces are the effortless elegance with which she carries herself and her thighs, well-toned by horseback riding. Her hair, very slightly wavy and of such a dark red-brown it looks black in nearly every light, falls neatly to her hips unbound. Her cheekbones are high and flat; her lips painted deliberately in two tones, the upper lip a brilliant ibis-red and the lower a delicate, girlish coral. She wears more jewels than the king and queen of Doriath combined, in dark pomegranate-red and startling emerald-green, effervescent mother-of-pearl and swirls of turquoise. Her gaze holds at once the absolute focus of a devoted hunting-hound and the lazy, lofty derision of a particularly spoiled cat.

Summary
This is the sequel to Interlude, and also the first of a series of stories meant to bridge the gap between the first stories of my Coming From the Dust arc and the modern-day ones. As always, I will add characters as I post each part.
Eithelas is one of the brothers I gave Legolas in my A Creature of Two Worlds arc, where he plays an important part.
Brellas is also my character and he was one of Caranthir's lovers in mt First Age Arc and my Fourth Age and Beyond arc.
