This is where it ended. Eddie was going to die here, eaten alive by these creatures, these things. Tearing the flesh from his body, he was so caught up in the pain, trying to get them off, that he hadn't even noticed the much larger creature creeping in from the distance, a low rumble echoing through the air.
I didn't run away this time..
Those were his last thoughts before he blacked out from the pain, the bats flying away as the creature approached.
