Summary
Tucking his head into Dereks neck and closing his eyes, he felt Dereks hands on him. Relishing in the feeling of Dereks skin against his, he nosed further into the crook of his jacket, trying to hide from the world. Opening his eyes just as Derek reached down to pick him up he was met face to face with a cloud of ash and bandages unrolling and morphing into the nogitsune who stood tall behind Dereks crouched body. Stiles tried to open his mouth to scream, warn Derek of what was behind him, but he couldn't. Lifting his hand to his mouth he found it was sewn shut. Slamming his hands against Dereks chest desperately, it was too late as the nogitsune put its claws to Dereks throat from behind and swiped, cackling in the process. As Dereks grip on him went limp and he fell to the floor, the nogitsune stood over his lifeless body and leant in. "I told you, you cant escape me" it whispered, flashing its wicked teeth with a grin.
OR
After the events of the nogitsune, Stiles is struggling. In the beginning, surrounded by his friends, he doesn't notice. When they begin to distance themselves from him he breaks, leaving one brooding, dark haired wolf to pick up the pieces and make him whole again until it all goes wrong.-

Derek’s jaw twitched. “Oh God. No. Oh, no.”
“Look, man.” Stiles winced as he tried to prop himself up on his elbow. After a couple of tries he gave up and fell back on the wood floor. “I’m not, I’m not dead, okay? Look, squishy. Pulse-y. Totally alive, see?”
Derek’s head began to hang down toward his chest, both hands making their way above his ears as he fisted his hair. His jaw clenched, and his eyes hardened. “No.”

Summary
Derek left their new apartment before Stiles could even unpack the first bag of groceries. Stiles went back to Beacon Hills completely heartbroken, while Derek ended up settling down with Laura and her son.
Two years later, they cross paths and Derek found out Stiles had gotten amnesia and had forgotten all about Derek, New York City, and the three best years of their lives. But Stiles is only faking his amnesia and it’s getting harder and harder to lie when Derek keeps coming and coming back.

Stiles' dad knows about the supernatural, Scott did not grow up in Beacon Hills and has been a wolf for about a year before he moves to Beacon Hills and becomes Stiles' first beta. Derek is angsty, smart and pining for Stiles has serious trust issues and is bent on vengeance.

Summary
Peter's attack on Kate at the station changed everything. Noah Stilinski was the alpha, and he had to deal with the regular business of being the sheriff of a large county without turning furry. Chris had to make sure Gerard’s visit didn’t ruin his career, his life, or his family in his father’s obsessive war against the supernatural. Allison had to decide if she and Scott had a chance after all, while dealing with the fact that her family was full of creepy sociopaths. Derek Hale didn’t want to deal with any of it, especially not the alpha who's taken his sister’s place.
Plus, the Alpha Pack comes to Beacon Hills, but unless they do sometime against the law, they're not the sheriff's problem.

“Damn it!” The words were slurred. His control was terrible. He gave up on the useless meditation and went to change into his uniform. He was on administrative leave, so no patrols, but there was still paperwork. He was nearly caught up with everything, which hadn't happened since just before his swearing-in ceremony in 2008. Every time he thought of his empty ‘to-do hopefully sometime’ pile, he couldn’t help but smile.
Even as he felt the smile stretch his lips, Noah realized that his fangs were gone. He lifted his hand and he had his fingernails back. He rubbed his cheek and his forehead, and the weird hair had also disappeared.
