"Why can't we ever small talk like a nice family when you come over?" Martyn grumbles, and gives the glass of binary code another lousy swish.
"Excuse you," his mother mutters back. They all fall silent as Impulse sets the bowl of salad-like soul bits on the table and finally takes his seat at the head of the table. She makes a waving motion that greenlights everyone to partake of the feast. Hands lunge forward. As they scramble to serve themselves, she says, "So tell me about this Netty girl you've been seeing."
"Martyn ate her," Bdubs says, dumping out a clump of soul salad, and Martyn almost spits his drink. "Ask him about Cleo. They're doing some kind of roleplay thing on Double Life. He had the cat ears out and everything."
Can’t stop thinking about Double Life Ep 2 and Ren refusing to join Martyn in the Deep Dark unless he gets confirmation that his date with Martyn’s mom is still on and Martyn just grumbles about how his mom needs a man, not a boy.
