There are many excellent reasons to send a Gondorian princess to Rohan.Trade negotiations. Diplomatic outreach. A noble gesture of post-war unity.
Possibly even a quiet arrangement involving a marriage contract someone forgot to mention to the princess.Lothíriel of Dol Amroth arrives with ledgers, grain, and the deep, weary grace of a woman who ran an entire city during a war and still wasn’t allowed to sign things in ink. She expected the usual diplomatic friction. She did not expect mud-slinging (literal and otherwise), misplaced marriage rumors, or Éomer King glaring at her like a badly translated poem.
He expected a new trade agreement. Instead, he got a princess, armored in courtesy and extremely unimpressed.

Deep in the forests of Arnor, along the hidden coast lies the forest of Alda-Nimri. There resides the Ithiltelir, the watchers of the moon. At the Valar Nienna's command, they watch over Tilion, the Maia of the moon.
As Sauron's darkness once again permeates the world of Arda, Tilion only has one watcher left. Mithrellas.

Summary
Ainslie, a young refugee, comes to Meduseld, passed off as a ward of Gríma Wormtongue. She makes a new and unexpected friend: Háma the doorward, whose fondest wish is to leave Edoras and see the beauties of Middle-earth for himself. One day, four strangers arrive at Meduseld, and Háma gets his wish. But when the men return, Ainslie cannot find him.
PREVIEW:
“Try bouncing the ball into the wind,” [the voice] said. She glanced in the direction from whence it came, and saw a pair of shrewd hazel eyes in the peep-hole of the helmet.Ainslie furrowed her brow, returning a skeptical look. But she tried what the man suggested, and it worked. The wind made the ball move straight up and down, and its path was easier to predict.
The control emboldened Ainslie, and when she tried again, she picked up four of the nuts. She threw a glance at the doorward that was one part triumphant, one part grateful.
“And what might your name be?” she asked by way of thanks. The man bowed stiffly at the waist, proffering a collected smile.

Lothíriel laughed at something her eldest brother whispered to her as they sat— all of them across from Éomer, in a line of blue velvet and earnest smiles.
Éomer was caught by the airiness of his betrothed’s laughter. He wondered if he would grow used to such a sound in his halls— if he would inspire such joy from her once she was no longer surrounded by her family, a lone woman of Dol Amroth in the Golden Halls of Edoras, with nobody there familiar to her but the few ladies of Gondor who would remain to tend to her alongside her new ladies.
War, Éomer could face. To bring forth joy in one woman seemed a task ever more impossibly daunting.
Éomer does not know much about his betrothed, and the prospect of marriage so soon after his hasty, war-driven coronation makes him more nervous than he dares to admit. But a chance encounter with Lothíriel on the morning of their wedding gives him hope.
