Summary
Easing open the door, Emery carefully stuck their head out to glance around the empty hallway. The hall light was on, causing them to squint painfully. They didn’t notice anything out of place at first until their eyes happened to land on the open door to Mortemer’s room. ‘I wonder if Morte heard anything through their door…’ they pondered before a memory floated, unbidden, to the surface of their thoughts. It was short, just a snippet of something Mortemer mentioned once, but it was enough to send an icy wave of fear through Emery’s body. "Yeah, I’ve had some pretty odd things happen to me so now I always make doubly sure to sleep with my door closed!"

Summary
In Ireland, swan-maidens are revered; as people who transform between human and waterfowl they serve as bringers of great luck and mysticism to all who pay tribute. Selkies, those who change between human and seal form, on the other hand, hold poor reputation. They are seen as big game; a commodity.
When an annual festival comes around to celebrate swans and obtain good luck for the year, some choose to purchase store-bought gifts for the maidens. For others, it becomes hunting season on selkies to offer as a sacrifice.
A re-telling of classic selkie mythology with a fantastical beast filled twist. -

Andy cries a lot for some reason, and this fic is on crack. Upset with it? Cry abt it. Theres also the Tomato’s. They got divorced because turns out their both gay. Oh well. Apparently Peter and Andy get harassed by some tomato with god powers. The tomato also is gonna blow up everything. They also go to applebees for some reason, even though Andy is in fact a apple. Felix is one of ‘THE BOYS!!1$$’ though. Melody is sick of it. But the worst part of it all, is that this entire thing is a road trip.
Nothing can go wrong though, right? Right..?

before i really began writing this whole au, i had a very different idea. since the au has taken a completely different course, and this was written before much of emery's lore was developed, this is no longer 'canon' to the au. consider this another au of the au lol
i still really enjoy the bonds emery forms here, but with the way the real au is taking place, its going to be difficult to write them in the way i want
also i feel bad that i havent updated the actual au in a while, despite saying i had so many things written. everything written is non-canon now. the canon stuff is all in my head. i will get it out eventually, but you might not like it when i do. we're in for a bumpy ride
