He doesn't understand. Where did he go wrong? How— how could it have gone so horrendously, miserably wrong?
He had it all planned out. Practiced his pitch in the mirror what felt like a thousand times. Changed a few words, moved sentences around; simplified all his thoughts and feelings into something he knew Alastor would be receptive to. Would understand.
