Summary
In a near suicidal attempt to kill Alastor once and for all, Alastor manages to put down Vox once and for all. An act done in self-defense. After a box of memento's end up at his door, Alastor realizes how little he understood his former best friend. Following the clue's left behind, he searches for the answers why his death bother's him so much and begins the non-linear journey of grief. As he find's... there's a skeleton in Vox's closet that sheds a whole new light on a man he swore he knew everything about.
Meanwhile the memories of their decades spent together come to mind. From their first meeting, to the developing relationship that changes from protégé, to friend, to something that could not be quite defined as lover or friend. Their once flourishing friendship warping into codependency that eventually leads to their violent falling out.

Summary
Alastor makes his living through investments, the trade market, forging deals with powerful people and selling goods. On a warm summer's day, he stumbles on a rare mermaid who has been caught by sailors and is now waiting to be auctioned. He's gorgeous; his tail a stark, vivid red more enrapturing than a blood moon with pearly white fins adorning it from the sides like ethereal ghosts; even beaten down the fervid fire in his eyes burns into Alastor's very soul. Unable to tear his gaze away, Alastor buys him. Dealing with mermaids was a dangerous job, one Alastor was well versed in, never having had any proclivity for love or sex which is how he had earned his great success, fortune and reputation. No mermaid can tempt him to his demise with their song.
He could never have known that with this one decision his entire life would be flipped. Feelings that have always lurked beneath the surface arise as an old friend gets pulled into the scheme.

Summary
After Alastor declines Lucifer's feelings, punishment was given to him in the most unconventional of ways. Now, Alastor has lost all form of being, now only existing in Vox's head. Determined to try and escape, he finally has to connect to his enemy in a desperate attempt to try and get his body back. Because of this connection, there are no secrets between him and Vox, now.

Well, the demon and his strange glasses aren’t really a threat, if one is being realistic. Even if the wound Adam gave him is still not healing properly. Even if he had to strategically abandon yet another fight in the span of two weeks. And never would he ever think of throwing his lot in with Vox of all demons to get rid of the newcomer. That would just be ridiculous.

For a moment Vox was terrified his cathode-ray skull had betrayed him—flashing a whole vaudeville reel of everything he wanted, every filthy little way he’d force Alastor to moan his name. And then Alastor leaned in and booped his nonexistent nose, fingertip hot against the cold glass. “Here I am, drinking quite heartily all on my own,” Alastor chuckled, “and you, ever the gentleman, keeping yourself sober on my account. How gallant of you.”

On paper, it’s an excellent idea— but things don’t go as planned when Vox moves in.

Vox comes to the hotel with the intention of taking it and everything associated with it down. But instead, he ends up getting attached, finding a daughter he didn’t know he wanted and falling for the two most powerful beings there.

"I take it you've made up your mind on that little dare of ours," Vox says with a plum-colored screen and a soft smile. "If you're assuming I'll be around for... Christmas? Halloween?" He asks, uncertain of how many months Alastor is talking about. "You may want to wash the more... intimate parts, yourself." He says, offering a washcloth to Alastor.
Alastor graciously takes the cloth to wash himself. “Neither of those, but we can discuss what’s in store for you as my mate later on.”
Vox takes a fresh washcloth from one of his cables, moisturizing body wash already lathered into it. He is in the process of doing the same thing as Alastor when the deer's words hit him. His screen glitches as he tilts his head, raising one eyebrow.
"M-mMaTe??"
