Sometimes certain mirrors reflected his true form back at him instead of his vessel’s body. But the only time a mirror hadn’t reflected anything at all was when it was a trick mirror and that was its purpose.
He took a step closer to the wardrobe and the mirror shifted. The door was… opening. From the inside.
Abaddon stared with wide eyes as his reflection suddenly returned. Only… it hadn’t.

Nothing, Nada, Nil. There was the briefest minute of pain, so fast that he could barely even register it and the sensation of being yanked by his harness but then it had all gone white.
None of that explained why he was looking at the stained popcorn ceiling of the room he had had when he was sharing a house with four other dudes. He recognized the stain in the corner of the room, there used to be a leak there that he’d had to seal when he had taken the room.-
One second he was climbing a ladder to put out an apartment fire and the next he was waking up to a ceiling he hadn’t seen in years.
