One hand clutched the fabric around her shoulders, while the other held up the missive. “This is from my brother.” It wasn’t a question, but that dark head bobbed once in answer. “My brother who is in Camelot. And you…” She trailed off, finally taking in the man in front of her. Broad shoulders hidden under a heavy riding cloak hinted at his physique; a warrior's stature. She spared a look back up into those eyes that seemed darker than pitch, unable to place why they seemed so familiar. It took just a moment longer for the realization to make itself clear; this was no stranger.
“Balinor,” her voice was once again quiet.
His answering smile was a small, wan thing. Even so, the lines around his eyes came forward with it. “Hunith.”

Summary
In a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great king and a free land rests on the shoulders of a young boy.
When Prince Arthur and his manservant Merlin are out in the woods, they find a poor young woman crying and injured. Arthur requests an audience with King Uther on the girl's behalf, allowing her to stay in Camelot until she has recovered fully from her injury. However, despite her kindness, Merlin senses that this girl means trouble. Is she really trouble? Or does Merlin have some hidden feelings that he is yet to discover? Is he perhaps jealous?

Some of the legends give Arthur an additional half-sister, Elaine. Here’s how her existence as a background character, despite performing no great deeds or showing no particular extraordinariness, prompts an earlier magic reveal and a happier ending than they all originally got.
Will be canon compliant until the end of Season 3, then verge into AU territory, where everyone stays alive.

"Sire, the…" the man paused and Arthur withheld a smile at the obvious distaste in his voice, "The court jester has arrived."
Arthur sat straighter at the announcement. When Merlin had first shuffled into court in that ridiculous three-pronged hat, Arthur knew he was going to try his utmost best to keep him there. Arthur adjusted his expression into something appropriately regal and gave the servant a quick wave.
"Please, send him in."
The doors slowly ground themselves open and in stepped Merlin. His three pronged hat tilted lopsided, jangling miserably atop his dark hair. His arms were held in heavy iron cuffs which attached to a chain that supposedly held his feet together, so he shuffled forward with an uneven gait, though Arthur suspected it was more theatrical than necessary. Stopping before Arthur's feet, Merlin offered the king a small, guilty smile.
The guard beside him stood awkwardly for a few seconds before clearing his throat. "The fool asked to be restrained in the shackles, sire."

Summary

Summary

Between trying to free the dragon under the castle, protecting Arthur from magical threats that Camelot is no longer capable of grappling with, and keeping his head attached to his shoulders, he can barely keep up with his life as it is. Throwing in prophecies is just excessive.
This is a story carried by many hands, because in a land of myth and a time of magic, the destiny of a great kingdom can't be shouldered by any one person alone.

Summary
Merlin was tired of waiting for Morgana’s another plan, doing nothing. Arthur had nearly died last time, if Merlin was late even for a minute his head wouldnt be in his shoulders.
The thought made him sick.“I wish there was a way we could know what her plans are.” Arthur had said in their last conversation. And that made an idea come to his mind.
How did Morgana knew their every step before them? Her spies. So that was what they needed. A spy.

No young man, no matter how great, or mystic can know his destiny. He cannot glimpse his part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone, he must live and learn. Or
A rewrite of Merlin if the writers weren’t cowards. A lot gayer, magic users aren’t the enemy in every single episode, and Uther is the actual villain of the story. Morgana is still a villain, but we have sympathy for her.

Summary

Summary
The whole Camelot is celebrating the engagement between Uther and Ygraine de Bois. There is music, food and entertainment, the great hall filled to the brim. Yet the only ones not celebrating are the king himself, his court physician, his future wife, and the court sorceress caught in the midst of the unfortunate love square.
That is until Ygraine notices that just like her eyes are glued to Nimueh across the table, so are her future husband’s eyes glued to Gaius. With that in mind, she makes Uther an offer he cannot refuse.

In a kingdom where magic is hated and forbidden by the king, there is one thing that even he cannot stop with all his might. Soul marks are magical bonds that unite two souls meant for each other. Soul marks also help you feel what your soulmate feels, but only if they keep the connection open, otherwise the most you can feel are just tingles or a shadow of what they really feel. They are imprinted on the skin and come in different forms from one person to another. They are meant to be identical only to their exact copy. Usually the soul mark is in the same place on both people, but there are a few exceptions that no ordinary person knows about. These exceptions are rare and there are only a handful of such bonds in 100 years. When a being of magic is bound to a soul that has no affinity for magic, the soul marks are in different places because even if fate has bound them, even she does not know what can happen between two souls so different. Usually the chance of them meeting is almost impossible, but when destiny has a say, even the impossible disappears.
