Having been sent home for too many times, Todd Worthing, now 14 years old, suffers existential crisis and found himself finally shattered. One day, while visiting the neighboring city of Coalville with his little sister, Tina, Todd discovers his raw talent for golf after his powerful shots scores many holes in ones and gaining a following at the city. Because of his raw and innate talent, Todd hustles golfers from Coalville to teach him how to perfect his game in hopes of winning his a cash prize to save his house from the IRS and earn a decent scholarship to Coalville Academy where the students treated him better. However, to do that, he must participate in the Coalville Open to win a spot at the Junior Tour Championship AND to compete, he needs a team of 5 members (him and 4 others), a coach, a caddie, and 2 substitute putters. In this story that serves as Todd's happy beginning, Todd and Tina work together to find the right people and fight their way into the championship while dealing with Wayside back home. However, it is going to be a hard journey when nobody in Wayside is qualified. So, Todd turn to the only person he has in mind to help him: Louis the yard teacher. Based on: Happy Gilmore.

This second story in the Hot August Nights series is set among the elite wealthy folk who dwell in the very closed and private mid-city Portland, Oregon lakeside urban community of Lake Oswego, Oregon. Their homes are worth millions and crowd next to each other along the steeps of the Oswego Lake shorelines closely side-by-side at times.
Each year in the month of August the Lake Oswego Corporation community organizers host a community-only festival of music and boating activities including a water skiing competition centering on just one Saturday night of reveling on the lake itself. The event is officially named either the Oswego Lake Hot August Nights or the Lake Oswego Half Moon Bay Hot August Nights.
On that Saturday, literal hundreds of the residents' mostly motorized water crafts park side-by-side at the temporary make-shift docking tiers set up just for the festival within the small cove (that's where the Half Moon Bay shape is derived) just at the inlet to the lake's east-ended Lakewood Bay. The docking includes a small dance floor where folks rock to the music bands that entertain on the stage that abuts the shoreline just mere feet away.
