Will Graham has few to little memories of his childhood especially those five months.Psychiatrists said it was a protective mechanism.
Will argued it was his brain being a bitch.
Still he did remember some aspects.
He remembered his father passed out drunk on his bed, little Will’s stomach grumbling, he hadn't eaten in two days he knew this. He remembered Little Will finding his father’s wallet and deciding to grab food for the both of them. He remembered the long walk to the nearest convenient store, a van pulling up next to him, and then black.
He remembered once he woke up he overheard two muscled burly men speaking in a language foreign but what he knew was European. He remembered being in a cage. He remembered a blonde child whose face was bruised and battered but who put up a brave front as he hid his sister behind his small frame.
Those were the only things he could remember, what he dreamt
OR What if Hannibal and Will met as kids and made a promise to each other, and what will happen once they reunite three decades later

Inspired by a post I saw months and months ago on Tumblr about how Jack was always ready to give Will whatever he needed to catch the Chesapeake Ripper, money and resources be damned. And this was born. It's lighthearted, a little cracky, and written in the style of short little snapshots into their developing relationship over the course of many months.
