Hepta, looking for a chance to move on from his current role, gets the position, and finds himself having to work through his Commander's obsessive and possessive behaviour around his damn pet, that's only gotten worse to the point Haggar's concerned he'll make reckless mistakes. That cannot happen. Shiro, however, has his own paranoia around Hepta's motivations, but it comes at the detriment of building the loyalty he so desires.
After a successful mission to bring down a faction of rebels, Hepta takes the lead and makes his damn Commander come out, if only for a night.
