Summary
A tale as old as time: the fair maiden is kidnapped and a noble warrior rushes to rescue her from the dreadful, irredeemable monster.
Yet nothing in life is as clear-cut as a fairy-tale:
Gaston finds himself falling deeper and deeper into the criminal underworld. While at the time it seemed like the only chance, can one use pirates to destroy pirates?
Beast knows he’s the monster and honestly stopped caring a long time ago. It takes a monster to fight monsters. Right? The ends do justify the means. Right?
Belle is of the arrogant opinion that she is the hero of her story and that the monster is actually a dorky nerd to an unusually chill crew. He’s still annoying, won’t let her go, keeps secrets, and is forcing her to be their ‘navigator’ (read, glorified magic-map-opener) so they can reach Treasure Planet before Hook does.
And Hook is hunting her. Specifically. For said map-opening skills. And because he still holds a grudge against her dead mother and uncle.
Belle wants answers more than the treasure her mother and uncle died to reach. But she’ll take the treasure too. And the glory.
After all, she is her mother’s daughter.

Before his overthrow was spearheaded by Optimus Prime, Elita One, Bumblebee, and Megatron, Sentinel Prime's colonial client state regime over Iacon and it's mines faced multiple challenges from the very beginning and throughout its fifty years following the end of the overt thousands-year long conflict between Transformer society and that of the Quintesson empire. This is a story of how those challenges were resolved, how no matter how it played out, one way or another Sentinel's regime would fall under it's own oppressive weight, the intercession of his overlords, or from the liberation of revolution- and it is also the story of the first batches of miners at the heart of that, of Solus Prime's gambit against possible betrayal, the story of how Arcee, Moonracer, and their pals pushed back, while Sentinel desperately looked for a way to legitimize his rule by having a co-conspirator to blame- a reactionary much worse than himself. To stop him from destroying the parts of the legacy of the Thirteen and the old alliances of Cybertron, the transformative nexus at the foundation of the eldest ways of autonomy known to their species, that Sentinel still thought he cared for.
