Summary
“How?” Jayce asks breathlessly. The figure doesn’t respond; instead, they lift a slender hand, covered in strange blue veins and runes, and for a moment, it looks like the figure might drop something from their hands to Jayce’s gloved ones before they pause.
In a universe two steps from canon, the Arcane Herald exists as a patron god of Zaun. At age 8, Jayce encountered this god, changing the course of his life. At age 14, he is discovered by the Herald’s order and told he’s the god’s Chosen, his mortal consort. At age 18, Jayce is sent to live in the Commune, the heart of the Herald’s order, to ascend to his destined status.
Given a year to prepare, Jayce is paired with an Acolyte named Viktor to teach him the ins and outs of his role. As time goes on, Jayce finds himself drawn to Viktor, unable to stop himself from falling for the other man. Jayce finds himself torn between his growing feelings for Viktor and his destiny with the Arcane Herald. Meanwhile, Viktor is holding onto a secret of his own. The only question is if this secret will bring them together or tear them apart.

Summary
In some legends, it is said that there are very special humans. They are drawn to murky, dark waters, without knowing why, and the moment they finally meet the person destined for them, their nature is revealed, allowing them to finally live together.
For as long as he can remember, Viktor has always loved the ocean. He often contemplated the reflection of the changing sun on its surface. Especially on the days when he suffered the most from his pain, the beauty of the water always overwhelmed him, making him forget any painful sensations. But he had never really dared to approach it; his leg barely supported him at times, and he was afraid of drowning, having never learned to swim.

Summary
Renowned inventor Viktor is forced to offer his feedback on the performance of a new android model, specially ‘donated’ as his new lab assistant. However, Viktor finds the task much less tiresome than anticipated—even as he struggles to come to terms with exactly what it is he’s been given.
Meanwhile, JY-5 (now Jayce) only knows three things. That he must neither harm, nor disobey a Human; that the word ‘must’ is a circumstantial term at best; and that he is not a slave, despite all appearances to the contrary.
Oh. And that he’s in love with Viktor.
But really—what else could he possibly need to know?

D’aussi loin qu'il se souvienne, Viktor a toujours aimé l'océan. Il contemplait souvent le reflet du soleil changeant à sa surface. Surtout les jours où il souffrait le plus de ses douleurs, la beauté de l'eau le submergeant à chaque fois, lui faisant oublier toute sensation douloureuse. Mais il n'avait jamais vraiment osé s'en approcher, sa jambe le portant à peine par moment, il avait alors peur de s'y noyer, n'ayant jamais appris à nager.

Basically, there are sirens and other such creatures in this universe, Viktor saw one as a kid and has studied them ever since. His friends do worry that his research might be a little, unrealistic. After all, Sirens were only a folks tale, no one had ever caught one, and those who saw one were called crazy. But that would all change when Viktor is able to catch the attention of a certain Siren.. named Jayce Talis.
This is going to be a multi-chapter fic! I don't know how many chapters it will be, but I am totally open to requests or ideas people might have for the story!

After waking up alone in a strange new world, with no idea as to how he survives, Viktor attempts to make this reality his new home.
Though there are obvious technological and timeline differences in this universe, Viktor finds that he is able to navigate its intricacies with little resistance, as parts of his memories seem to store otherworldly knowledge he hadn’t been aware of before.
After a year of getting accustomed to this world, date closely approaching the anniversary of his ‘death,’ Viktor’s mind is unable to block out the memories of the past. The things he had desperately tried to move on from. A person he struggled to forget.
He had hoped the Arcane was being merciful by giving him a second chance, but why couldn’t he just… forget? But when the ghosts of the past catch up to him, will Viktor embrace them or recoil from guilt at their very existence?
