Jasmine was a Marauder. Not officially, but she always found herself getting into trouble with the four boys while she was at Hogwarts. Maybe that's why James's crush on her sister eventually faded away, and he fell for her instead. They were a happy family until Harry was born. That's when Dumbledore sent Jasmine out on a mission away from home, making her leave James and her infant son alone. Luckily, Lily, an amazing aunt and godmother, promised to stay with them to help James and make sure Harry had a face similar to Jasmine's around. She had been worried he'd forget about her. But now, with the confidence that her boys would be okay, she left, and it ended up being her biggest regret.
