All the anger he held inside was his pusher, he could finally use it as a tool instead of a self-destruction. Lacrosse had been his bread and butter in high school, had softened the anger to something manageable but even then, nothing had ever really been a solution, only a band aid. Then he found boxing and somehow it had all just fell into place, like domino’s tumbling down. Suddenly anger wasn’t poisoning him, wasn’t making him a ticking time bomb anymore. Anger was his anchor, an enemy turned ally. It was the fuel to his metaphorical fire.
