“Claim me?” One of Regulus’s fingers slip under his shirt, gliding across his waist. Remus can’t help but to shiver in anticipation as he speaks.
“I’d make every inch of your body mine,” his teeth glide across Regulus’s neck. “Slowly take you apart until you’re a thoughtless mess.”or; Sirius fucks up again and Regulus hatches a devious plan to get revenge whilst Remus falls right into his waiting hands.

Remus has little authority over his life, he is chained to the moon and as a minor with magic, is enrolled in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although, he doesn't need a law to keep him going to school, because it is school that he has to thank for him finding his true family.
His seventeenth birthday approaches and so does the threat of the registry, because of his lycanthropy he will lose his right to medical privacy... That law was more invasive. It turned against the habits he had upheld for over a decade and shone a light on shadows of peace that had been the centre of his life for as long as he could remember.They all know it will be a hard year, for different reasons: with Lily getting more involved in prefect duties, everyone knowing Sirius has no claim to his last name, Peter now without a sister and James, ever the captain, rallying the house together.

'You've got to be kidding me,' Regulus muttered to himself. He was standing in the doorway of the bedroom that he and Sirius shared.
When Sirius finally convinced Regulus to spend Christmas with him and the Potters, he hadn’t told him that strictly speaking there weren’t enough beds. So, he had to share with his older brother, no big deal.
But in the spot that was supposed to be his, was Remus Lupin, one of his brothers’ best friends.
Good thing James is there to take care of him.

"Goodbye, Sirius." Goodbye, brother. He murmured, watching with sparkling eyes as Sirius left. Left, and didn't look back. He didn't expect him to. He was glad Sirius hadn't, or he might've seen past Regulus' façade.
He supposed his brother deserved a final goodbye, even though he hadn't earned it. Sirius had helped Regulus, albeit unknowingly. With Sirius gone, Regulus was the heir now. Heir to The Most Noble and Ancient House of Black and all the power and wealth within it. He was needed, he was useful, he was no longer the spare, could no longer be thrown away as if he didn't matter.

This story is intended to answer the question 'How would Peter Pettigrew and Regulus Black have even known each other, let alone been friendly?'
It takes place between September 1977 and December 1978, which would be the Marauders' seventh year and the first six months after they would have graduated and joined the Order.
It precedes the chapter *Born to Serve* in 'Coming of Age in the House of Black' and 'The Changing of the Guardian.' I initially wasn't going to publish it, because I felt those stories along with the chapter *Consequences of Judicious Meddling* in 'Mary Potter and the Chained Servant' more or less covered the important points, and gave an impression of why Peter made the choices he did… but then sktheiss over on ff.net asked the question, and it's not addressed in any of the other chapters, so here we are.
