Her fingers plucked at the strings, her shoulders drooped down again, and then her voice rose, musty and sweet, the kind of voice he could die listening to.

    She sang Blackbird like it was hers, and Clint thought that The Beatles must have known she was coming, that they surely had written this song with her in mind the same way Clint had started writing song after song with only her face behind his eyelids.
