Summary
“I’m… Maker, there is no easy way to say this. I’m Divine Aequitas II.”
Oh. Oh no.
“You’re… w-what?” Tarquin stammers out.
“I’m Divine Aequitas II, and someone just wrote a story about a man who is The Divine during the day and a vigilante hero at night. Sound familiar?”
He’s tongue-tied. A million thoughts run through his head at once, all arriving at Maker, I’ve been a bloody idiot. I let it go way too far.
“Listen, Tarquin. I— We think someone’s threatening me. It’s all too suspiciously close to reality. They’ve written about an organization called the Star Snakes, about a hero called The Scorpion. The names are changed, but that hardly matters when it gets so many details right. Dorian said there’s… There’s someone like you, too.”
OR: Because Tarquin is Tarquin, he gets himself in massive trouble by accidentally guessing what Ashur’s secret identity is, and writing a serial about it.

Summary
The papers slapped onto the desk with a thoughtless viciousness.
“Did you know?”
A month. A month of bliss, rocked by a couple pieces of paper, a single file.

Not everything is perfect in paradise. It's hard living a double life, for all of them, as necessary as it is.
It just takes more work than they can give sometimes.Series

Summary
Varric can’t see past his love for the people he cares about enough to realize that what he really needs to do is leave them in the dust where they belong, because they’ll never meet the expectations he has for them to be decent, or just good enough. People that will only fail him again, and again. People like Solas. People like Rook.
Not this time.

Summary
Set two years after the final scenes shown in Dragon Age: The Veilguard (video game), Lucanis is working himself to exhaustion and taking risks to separate he and Spite, heedless of the toll it is taking or caring about the results. Rook is lonely and in mental/emotional anguish and trying to self-destruct by running headlong and recklessly into combat because the pain is too much to face. With the found-family and friendship created during the course of the mission against the gods, what happens when time progresses beyond the end-goal and your family/friends need to deal with their trauma and hurt.
Everyone dealt with immense loss, pain, rejection, and torture, during the course of Veilguard's events and somewhere along the line there are going to be breaks and cracks in the walls one erects around themselves. Lucanis remains locked in an internal struggle and cycle of self-torture, Spite and he are still not separated, and the traumas Rook faced before, during, and after the Veilguard story have never been healed. Through intervention and care, can the connection between Lucanis and Rook and the connection between the Veilguard companions be healed, and can friend-love and soul-bond-love be a key to that healing.

Summary
Neve had never imagined herself opening up, settling down. Hell, she’d hardly dared bet on tomorrow. But one unassuming little elf had pried the fractals of ice from around her heart and melted a place for themself there instead. And, Maker, it felt like coming home.

Summary
Neve has a bad habit of taking jobs that go sideways. Why would a job where she has to pretend to be in a relationship with Rook be any different?
-
Tags
Summary
It started the way all good stories start, according to Varric - with a bottle of stolen whiskey.
A collection of moments between Rook and Neve in between all of the fighting and saving the world.

Just a set of one-shots of the times Emmrich had time alone and his mind was left to wander with thoughts of Rook. This chapter is the first of many I plan to do, and Emmrich's first time fantasizing about Rook.

Summary
Lucanis Dellamorte had a perfectly sufficient life as an Antivan Crow...
Until he was infused with a demon. (It's complicated.) Now, his inner monologue comes with a side of self-doubt and Spite, and his latest contract is near-impossible: taking out two ancient elven gods.
Rook Laidir has her own battles to fight, leading a team in the wake of catastrophe. Amid the chaos, she’s not-quite-hiding a growing crush on Lucanis - a man who’s thorny, haunted, and just charming enough to make it worse. (Okay, a lot worse.)
Then there’s Emmrich Volkarin, the gentlemanly, composed necromancer somehow still putting up with them. When they’re not saving Thedas, Emmrich wonders if anyone’s noticed *he’s* been waiting for the two of them...adoring, steady, and maybe a little too patient.
An exploration of found family, love, and how good advice, determination, and patient affection (slowly) lead to discovering love and a new way to live. It's tricky, and sometimes painful, but they are learning.

Viago de Riva wants to be Fifth Talon, the only thing in his way is rival House Calveri. Luckily, Viago has been molding a weapon for just this purpose.
Vero will embark on a quest for revenge and power and bring House Calveri down.
They were still a tool – they had never been nor would they ever be anything else – but now they were a prized dagger, dull and rough, but with Viago's deft hands, they were being honed, sharpened. Viago's perfect weapon.

Summary
Maybe it was safe to admit it now, before it got so bad that Grier couldn’t undo it. He wanted the attention from Emmrich. It was hard not to preen when Emmrich praised his moves in a fight, or to lean in when Emmrich got onto a topic he liked. Something about him radiated a familiar warmth, and Grier found himself seeking out that focus more and more.
He’d done something dangerously close to flirting, a couple times. Without realizing it, if he was honest. Compliments worded a bit more suggestively than he’d intended them to be. He was used to saying what he meant without a thought, but now he found himself considering his words, lest he admit such an embarrassing craving for praise.

Summary
The Mourn Watch was all Ehren Ingellvar ever knew, from the day they were found in the crypts, to the day they were sent out to 'find themselves' after their controversial triumph at the War of the Banners. Even after, during their hunt for Solas, they only scantly heard of other factions.
That is, until they needed to hire a Crow to help save the world.
Then, their cold dead heart somehow ended up in the clutches of the Antivan Crow's most infamous mage killer, supposedly thought dead for a little over a year. How fitting for a Nevarran Necromancer.Little did Ingellvar know that not only would they find themselves balancing on a razor's edge in matters of life and love trying to find and kill their targets, but Ehren might find a little something more about themselves, but at what cost?
