Once the string of fate has been tied, it is not easily cut. A young shrine maiden will meet her fate in the form of a god, and history will never be the same.
Inspired by bloodredrubymoon's AU, and lovingly adopted, Hiyori's past reveals a perpetual connection to a blue eyed god of calamity. Their fates, as well as their fortunes, are forever intertwined, but Father will always try to keep Yato from altering his course of destruction.
Inspired by the Hogen disturbance of 1156, and delving into the sacred role of the miko as a shamaness and powerful traveling ally. Names have been borrowed for the sake of continuity, but I own nothing but my own words. The true genius lies with the wizards Adachitoka.

She is a bow, carved and curved in an elegant sweep of deep lacquered bamboo, with exactly seven, glittering gold arrows tipped in obsidian black. Her bowstring is a vibrant red, and as her master pucks the edge of it with careful fingers, she feels, in some visceral, instinctual way, that she is to obey, protect—die for her master. With a whisper, she is pushed and pulled in a bright shine of light, and left blinking in disorientation as she discovers that she is standing, that she has feet, a body, a spirit, a name.
“Kichi,” her master says her name, hand outstretched and lips pulled into a soft, knowing smile. “You may call me Father.”

But when Yato goes to fight him, Susano-o recognizes him as the reincarnation of his brother: the moon god, Tsukiyomi. Abysmal salary, terrible working hours and most of the customers are ungrateful jerks. He really should quit, if there wasn't this one delivery he always looks forward to. Still, he tries not to get too drawn in by the beautiful student. It wouldn't work anyway, because when the sun goes down, he crosses the boundaries of the gray area and fulfills addicts' self-imposed wishes. He's good at his job, doesn't ask questions, is resigned to it. Until this annoying boy shows up.
